Had an amazing breakfast here today. Hubby had the vegetarian breakfast burrito and I had the vegan version. It was amazing. Also shared a vegan blueberry lemon scone. It was the best vegan pastry I've ever had, seriously. Wish this restaurant existed where we live. Since we're here visiting, I'm so glad to have found it. Another perk was the dog friendly environment.

The Vegan Tostada included two crispy corn tortillas in green tomato poblano sauce topped with tofu scramble, refried beans, almond ricotta, and pickled onions. I liked it except for the cilantro that was not mentioned on the menu. They warmed up the chocolate chip cookie, which made it even more delicious.

Rising from the ashes of The Present Moment - Edit
I finally know what happened to the building that once housed The Present Moment, which I believe was the only fully-vegan restaurant in the area. Buena Onda seems to be a spiritual successor, but I'm not sure how connected the two are.
Read moreOrdering is convenient: you simply order at the register and your food is brought to you. Most things are vegan or can be made vegan. There's also a little Micro Market in the back which sells various locally-made items and wines.
Overall the food was great. I had the day's special which was mushroom fritatas. I also had a lemon scone and a glass of Black Cat kombucha.

Dear husband and I had breakfast here. DH (vegetarian) had the breakfast bagel. I (vegan) had the Present Moment bowl with added tofu. Delicious!! The women working behind the counter were everything wonderful! Pleasant and knowledgeable. We definitely recommend!

The food here is very fresh and flavorful with plenty of vegan options and delicious coffees and drinks. Only complaint was that they don’t have any spicy house made salsa besides cholula. Even if you’re not vegan I highly recommend especially for their lattes and cafe cubanos.

My husband and I stopped here this morning for breakfast. I ordered the vegan breakfast tacos and a golden milk latte, and my husband got the Tostada Con Huevos and regular coffee. The latte was fantastic. Loved it. However, neither of us enjoyed our food. My tacos were heavily over salted, with each component being extra salty in itself. It also only had a one textured mouth feel, very mushy. My husband said his was overly salty as well and had so much sauce covering everything. It was all he could taste. I was hoping to love this place after all of the great reviews, but unfortunately, we won't be back 😢

This restaurant had a wonderful assortment of breakfast and lunch items. Had great drinks, including espresso drinks a nice mugs. The food has a slightly Latin tinged influence. We had empanadas and fusion tacos. Super nice service. Don't forget to check out the trendy store in the back near the bathrooms!

Read moreMy 14 year old son had the daily special which was the superfood veggie burger with vegan cheese on GF bread. It was a huge, sloppy sandwich that he said hit the spot.
I had  the “present moment bowl”, which has kale, lentils, squash and tons of flavor. My husband had a tofu Banh Mi on GF bread. Another big, sloppy sandwich that was worth the stop.
All in all we were very happy with our lunch experience and would highly recommend.

This place is a true embodiment of its name, Buena Onda. The staff are kind and friendly. The ambiance is serene and peaceful. The food is delicious and wholesome. I got the vegan breakfast burrito, and my friend got the lentil & quinoa veggie breakfast bowl. They both offered generous portions - super filling! They have vegan pastries and a lot of drink options available as well.
