The staff was great, vibe at the pick-up window was fun and colorful. Great fast place to stop if you are driving through Salt Lake. However, the sandwiches were not as flavorful as I would have hoped (too acidic, maybe it was the vinegarette?) I got the pesto sandwich but I highly suggest getting the Cheese Steak sandwhich and adding lettuce!

Best Lunch in Town - Edit
First of all this is the best lunch place in town, hands down. Not best VEGAN place, best overalls. It just happens to be fully plant based. With that said you have to go here. Try the pesto sandwich, buffalo salad, and taco salad. Pro tip is to get the taco salad as a wrap, basically a burrito...that bbq jackfruit is just 🤯

Buds is the best place to get a vegan sandwich in the Salt Lake City Area. As a long time player in the SLC vegan scene, Buds offers a wide variety of sandwiches that are 100% plant based. Some of my favorites include the Buffalo Chicken, Pesto, Pizzasteak, and Deli Classic. The bread at Buds is awesome: crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. They also offer wraps instead of bread. Buds also has salads, delicious cookies, drinks, and chips.
Read moreBuds is a to-go only dining option. You order online or at a window and pick up your food when it is ready. There is no indoor seating. There are a few picnic tables available on site.

Delicious Vegan Sandwiches - Edit
Really fresh ingredients, fabulous breads, superb lavender lemonade! This was our first lunch in SLC and we will be back during our stay!!! Highly recommend. Sat on bench outside to eat as seating area was closed temporarily.

I cant say enough about how much I love Buds! The team does a great job and are always so happy and pleasant. While I have my go to favorites, everything is just so good, ive never been disappointed. The bread is everything you'd ever want, crusty, soft and tasty. The fillings are unique, but simple and soo satisfying. Grubby, messy and very filling, Buds is something I could eat every day but keep myself in check with maybe once a month or so. Its the one place I get really excited to treat myself to. Its reasonably priced, fun to visit and really just the best vegan sandwich in SLC.

The best vegan food I have had in Utah so far. Boyfriend and I ordered the barbocoa sandwiches and were so impressed. Also, the zucchini cookies were out of this world. Staff is super friendly and food came out quick so we will definitely be returning.

"5-star sandwich" is a bar way too high for a spot that can't respect some of the craft's basic tenets.
Read more-Slightly dry, oversized sourdough bread is a cornerstone for a sad sandwich

-Guacamole on a "Deli Classic" turkey-style sandwich is nothing short of sacrilegious
An establishment that specializes in a particular form of food could, and should, be dishing out nirvana.
Clearly a lot is working here to be pulling in non-stop, flawless ratings, but if y'all keep giving thumbs up when their is obvious room for improvement, you're feeding a complacency that's helpful for no one.

The best subs I've had, and I've been lucky enough to have eaten in more than my fair share of vegan establishments around the world! Everything is on point. Fresh, slightly chewy sub bread, every sub is packed, and fantastic prices. My favorite has been the meatball sub with homemade meatballs, wow it was simply incredible. Mind blown. Don't forget to get it with their homemade cashew cheese sauce!!

We've enjoyd every sub we've had here but those are definitely our favs. Idk why, but I was not a big fan of the barbacoa, but a lot of people seem to love it, so perhaps a matter of personal preference. I hope they keep the meatball sub.on the menu tho!

Best vegan sandwiches I have ever eaten - Edit
We ordered and shared a Barbacoa sandwich and a Philly Cheesesteak, both in long submarine rolls, absolutely loaded with “meat” and vegetables, spicy and satisfying. Buds is in a red brick house on a pleasant street east of downtown. You place your order at the window and wait at picnic tables in the shade; sandwiches are soon ready for pickup. You may eat them at those tables, but we took them to our hotel room and warmed them in the microwave.

Best Sandwiches In Town! - Edit
Almost everything I've tried here has been amazing. My favorite is the buffalo chicken sandwich and a close second is the meat ball sub. I also really like their taco salad, it's huge and fresh. Everything is very affordable and hardy. Unfortunately they fall short on a few things, they don't really offer any side options and the dinning area is really small, especially in the winter months. Even with its little faults, it's still one of my new favorite spots.

A local recommended this place, and I am glad they did. I had the Pizza sub, and it was fantastic. You order at a walk up window, limited outside seating. The staff were friendly and food was ready quickly. Highly recommend.
