Bubbie's new spot - Edit
Plenty of options for anyone looking to avoid meat. As it is kosher dairy, there is no meat on its premises. There is fish. Hummus and pita platter, garden salad, soy-based burgers, falafel platter and spicy fries would be vegan suggestions.

Cons: It is a popular restaurant and therefore busy.

Hole in the wall - slow service - Edit
The main draw to this place seems to be it's strict kosher dairy, and I think it's a popular place with locals who keep kosher. But the place itself is very small and dingy, kind of dirty. Tables are way too close together and not in a cozy way. There was a small table with coffee just behind my friend and everyone kept bumping into him to get it. He did not enjoy that. Needs renovation badly. Large dust-covered fans were running to help the room cool down and it still wasn't helping the AC much. Bathroom is in the back and really gross.
Read moreYou wait on line to order at the counter, and then seat yourself. They have a sign that says food takes longer because it's prepared fresh. This is true, however, the day we were there, only one woman was behind the counter making food. There was a man taking orders at the register, but when he wasn't, he didn't help her at all! I understand he might not be a cook, but he could have gotten items from the back (she kept running back and forth) or plated some things for her - and he just stood around. She was hustling to get food made and while she was working as quickly as she could, she was not efficient at all. She did one check at a time. Didn't look ahead to other checks to see if there were similar items she could start working on and do them as well. It was not a well-run kitchen. We waited more than 45 minutes for pancakes (non-vegan) and falafel and hummus (vegan). We could have run across the street and gotten falafel and eaten and finished before we were even served here.
The food was mediocre at best. Very plain. It did seem fresh, and the portions were decent, which is why I gave it a 2 instead of 1.
I think the only draw for this place is that it's kosher. If that's important to you, then the lousy atmosphere, slow service, and mediocre food might be worth it. If you don't care if it's kosher, go elsewhere.
