Vegan Thali - Edit
As with most places in Varanasi, totally random. Staff very friendly. I had the thali which wasn't the best I've ever had in India but it was a decent option for vegans in main Varanasi.

Lovely place - Edit
I sat downstairs and had breakfast and the staff were so friendly and kind. A cow decided to poke their head into the front door and wouldn’t move until a staff member gave them some bread haha. It’s a great place to go! My vegan crepe was delicious, I went back twice when I was in Varanasi

Really nice location with good thali and a cozy rooftop (you can also sit downstairs). The restaurant is part of a project for teaching underprivileged childern, which is a great inititative.

Travel vibe cafe - Edit
I think you don't go to this place to have the most tasty nicely arranged dishes but just honest homemade food in a vibing place. Is a bit punky and i saw many western travelers frequenting the place. Loved the vegan apple pie and the vegan chai!

Have eaten there twice a day for my entire stay! Lovely staff. Good vegan options that were super yummy (cake, curry, burgers etc.). They also have live music at night. The place has a great buzz!

Down town Varenassi - Edit
Restaurant located in down town. My boyfriend and I were the only people in the restaurant. Place has a rooftop with a van. I had a vegan cauliflower tabouleh. Taste was good but not special.

Thanks for my first indian helly'belly' expérience ! - Edit
I went there with 2 friends. I ordered 2 items from a closer vegan restaurant on the menu (vegan soup and one lime'cumcumber drink) and one item made on the restaurant (veg mushroom burger) My friend wait more than one hour to get his pizza, smaller size that he ordered and less ingredients that he asked. I received everything on time, but with a "little" mistake about the soup : it wasn't the "vegan soup of the day" from the other restaurant but their own local"noodle soup"...a lil bit more expensive. I said "Nevermind, it's almost the same"....but 12 hours after, I spent my whole time to puke all day long, and I strongly feel something bad with that soup. The burger wasn't tasty. I can do a mistake but the worst thing was during the bill : The staff tryed with many case to take us many more money with the items and the change, with lot of random "mistakes" and never recognise their error. So.... Maybe it's was my "unlucky day" but I cannot recommand.

Taking ages to bring the bad food - Edit
My first time there was okay although thry have a very expensive price for cold drinks. I ordered a veg burger and it was nice. My husband ordered a vegan pizza which no taste. But on my second time I only ordered a veg soup with brown bread and a lemon soda. They brought the very bad "soup" after one hour and it was horrible. Basically hot water with pepper and onion. And my lemon soda bottle was dirty of another costumer juice. The bad soup was 110 rupees and the dirty lemon soda was 80 rupees. The restaurant in front is much more faster, clean and with fair prices.

Not bad - Edit
Wanted the walnut pasta but they had no walnuts. So had the potato/green bean/sesame seeds, was nice. Had a mango ‘smoothie’ but was actually neat mango pulp from a can so wasn’t really drinkable. Wanted vegan chocolate cake but there was none. Vegan chocolate muffin was nice. Only a few vegan options, which would be fine if they were actually available. Great that it is a charity though!

Good, crowded - Edit
We went for breakfast and chose a la carte. Too many people so service suffers. Careful with your bill. Verification might be a good idea. Good bread and tea

Great food! - Edit
I was happy to find a giant plate of simply grilled vegetables on the menu. Something I didn’t see much in India. It was delicious as were the other vegan items. I also looooooved their vegan chocolate cake. There was a cow staring at me through the front door who kept trying to push it open.

Vegan friendly bakery - Edit
A cute little bakery down a cobbled street. Clearly labelled vegan items and some are gluten free too although when we were there they had sold out of the gluten free brownie and the bread. They were happy to put an order in though that day ready for the following day if you were staying in Varansi for a long time. They had a good understanding of vegan and gluten free too. Would recommend - a nice place to chill!

Nice place where the staff understand what is vegan food. We had vegan pasta with walnuts sauce and vegan burger (which is labelled "veg" on menu but can easily being made vegan). Ask the waiter for vegan version of dishes, they will make it.

Pros: Vegan chocolate cake!, A lot of dishes can be vegan
