Terrible experience - Edit
Yes, they had a vegan breakfast sandwich and plant milks. That’s where the positives end. After explicitly asking if I wanted my latte iced or hot, they made it wrong. The syrups were $0.50… per pump 🙄 And took over 20 minutes to receive a drink and breakfast sandwich when there were barely any customers. They charged $4 to put the small $8 breakfast sandwich on their waffle instead of English muffin. Left the spinach off the sandwich which was what made it cost more than a similar one. Overpriced and underdelivering.

Not exactly breakfast - Edit
This part of Atlanta must still be developing. The street leading up to Brooklyn Tea is fairly quiet with lots of shade from trees, but there were tons of empty shops nearby giving it a kind of vacant feel. The atmosphere inside Brooklyn Tea was really lovely: the shop is well-decorated with warm colors and a small but cozy seating area. I ordered the blueberry vegan waffles, and I also wanted to try a tea latte. They were out of the first 3 caffeinated tea flavors I asked about, which was frustrating, so I finally settled on the non-caffeinated vanilla rooibos latte with oat milk. The waffle came out on a tiny appetizer plate, and it was soft (not at all crispy), so it soaked up too much syrup and fell apart when I tried getting a fork-full. Aside from the awkward eating experience, the flavor was great. The waffle is pretty small, so I was still hungry afterward. Like other reviews, I would call this a snack and not a breakfast. The tea latte was served in a huge mug (almost too big for me) and was creamy and delicious. Lastly, the bathroom code is provided on the receipt, but the door has one of those new digital number pads, which can be confusing if you've never used one like it. Push the single button, and the number pad should light up.

Good tea and okay food - Edit
I liked the tea I had. I got the vegan egg and cheese sandwich and it was not great. Probably should have tried the waffles like other reviewers.

Be sure to call ahead re menu items available - Edit
We were about to go here, but called ahead to make sure that they had their full menu based off of another review on happy cow about only waffles being available. She confirmed that they sold out of all of their other items last week, so it saved us a trip. She was super sweet and if you're ok with just having vegan waffles, this is your spot!

Great tea and waffles - Edit
I got their iced coconut oolong and a half order of their coconut chip waffle. I really liked the tea, and the waffle was a nice snack. The staff is friendly, and they have indoor and outdoor seating. I like that they have tables and couches inside. They also do a rewards program, so, if you come back, you can eventually get something for free.

No vegan pastries😒 - Edit
I went here specifically for the vegan pastries but sadly they didn’t have any! Just a waffle. Just a warning in case others are coming for the same reason.

Tea galore! And some grub too - Edit
Brooklyn Tea is a new spot! Grand opening is happening soon. It has cool decor, a great variety of seating, and I was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful tea selections. They also offer coffee and espresso beverages, waffles, and breakfast sandwiches with just egg.
Read moreThe people at the counter are very nice and handled a couple snafus well.
Note: they do offer honey and some non-vegan pastries at the moment. I enjoy honey so personally I was happy about that element.
Additional note: they are new and still figuring things out. Double check that they are creating your order properly. Our order took a while but I’m optimistic they’ll be better as their team comes on board and gets trained.
