Friendly bistro with an old vibe

A quaint bistro with live music, located right on the Carnforth train station platform. I'd recommend sitting inside if you want to take in the atmosphere, as outside it was rather dull and noisy (due to all of the trains zooming through).

Friendly staff that are very accommodating to the vegan diet. Very quick service for cakes but sandwiches took a fair bit longer, so if time is something that you have little of it might be something to take note of.

A nice selection of vegan friendly cakes, including; apricot flapjacks, lemon cake. On the lunch menu you could select a jacket potato with beans, a hummus sandwich or a moving mountains burger to name a few. Both the apricot flapjack and the lemon cake had beautiful flavours. I tried the hummus sandwich which came with salad, however this was a bit of a let down so stick with the cakes and coffee. The dairy-free milk options were oat and soya.

Overall the prices were reasonable, around £3.25 for cake.

Lovely vegan lasagne

I was really pleasantly surprised at the vegan options and cake available here. I had the vegan lasagne which came with homemade garlic bread and salad with balsamic dressing. We ordered a portion of chips to share too. Definitely recommend 👌

Good choice, excellent service

Several vegan options on the menu and a vegan cake made this a great stop for lunch. I had the vegan breakfast, which was delicious with an excellent pot of tea. The service was excellent and great setting. Would definitely recommend.
