Okay if you are in a pinch - Edit
We ordered two different types of pizza, in my case in the vegan pomodoro pizza. What we were hoping for was delicious Italian (Neopolitan) pizza – like they serve at Di Matteo (Hyehwa) or Marione (Seongsu) – but Brera seems to be doing Pizza Tonda Romana style, which means the crust is thin and more like a cracker (not fluffy and crispy).
Read moreThe pomodoro pizza comes with a lot of toasted hazelnuts on top ("confit"), which I have never really seen before. It’s okay, but definitely not the kind of pizza we want to eat when we’re craving pizza. However, if you like Pizza Tonda Romana style, then Brera is the right place for you.
In terms of atmosphere, we didn’t find the staff that friendly (note: there were only a couple of other customers, so it wasn't busy, stressful night). We wanted to order olives as a side (not listed on the menu) and were told that they could give us some, but only one portion for free. Um, we weren’t trying to fish for freebies? The server also didn’t seem to appreciate ordering only one drink (I prefer table water) and when we asked if we could get leftovers to take away, we were told to pack them up ourselves (there’s a self-serve corner with packaging). All of which is fine, but what rubbed us a little the wrong way was the tone of how everything was communicated to us. Nothing of it felt friendly and welcoming. At Marione, they are professional and polite, at Di Matteo, they are very warm (the owner always greets customers effusively), at Brera, we just felt they didn’t care. We won’t be back.

Amazing pasta! - Edit
I’m a pasta snob and they offer amazing, fresh pasta with great sauce. Multiple veggie options and vegan pizza available.

Exceptional service, okay food - Edit
Good place to pop by if you want quick italian vegetarian food options. Staff is really warm and helpful. Got a Margherita pizza that was alright, although not a place I would seek out if I was craving good pizza.

Amazing! - Edit
They have an extensive vegan menu full of fantastic options. I’ve had many pasta dishes here and vegan pizza. The pizza is soooo good! I never would’ve thought to put pistachios on pizza! If you are looking for authentic Italian food, this is the place to go!

Vegan pizza was super nice and they also made a vegan appetizer instead of the bread which was delicious. Great atmosphere, nice place.
