Leckere vegane Flammkuchen uvm. - Edit
Seit ca. einem Jahr baut die Brennessel ihre veganen Optionen immer weiter aus. Sehr zu empfehlen sind die Flammkuchen die immer auch als vegane Variante angeboten werden, die veganen Burger und auch der hausgemachte Hummus war lecker. Big selection of vegan dishes! - Edit
They recently extended their vegan menu massively, it includes pasta, curry, 2 different burgers and 3 Flammkuchen. We had the Elsässer Flammkuchen (10€) and one of the burgers (15€ with fries), both delicious.

OK spot for a dinner with friends - Edit
Stopped by for dinner with friends. It was very busy and loud when we went, but the food and experience was good overall. Not too many vegan options on the menu, but they were willing to accommodate and adjust my order. Affordable and good service.

I like the Brenessel as it is good food, and nice beers, incredibly cheap. Although they serve meat and don't have a lot of vegan options, which is a pity.

I ate here on the first day of my semester. It was packed full but the service was still friendly and quick. I ate vegan spaghetti at a great price. The portion was so big that I split it with a friend!

A little disappointing but delicious - Edit
Since it is lsited here on HC I was expecting more. There were no choices on the menu so I asked the waitress.

Luckily it was possible to omit the cheese on eggplant with potato and tomato sauce. (€9.80)
It was really good but greasy. Veery greasy.
Another big con is the big-portioned bolonaise they serve for € 1.80. I love the idea of the cheap student cafe and the place is really neat overall. But I can only imagine where this meat must be from...

nice place but not many vegan options - Edit
ive been to brennessel a few times before and ate just a couple. since i remember, there are not many vegan options (i had hummus and potato wedges). but its a common student place - nice inexpensive and busy.
