The UK in the GR - Edit

Brass Ring Brewing brings the comfort of the service and food of an English pub to downtown Alger Heights, Grand Rapids. Honestly, this is the coziest brewery in town. I go often, and every time I go the staff are nothing short of amazing. Everyone is so fun and friendly. There are often festivities in the restaurant and the usual carousel of regulars that you will recognize. There was a time that I stumbled into the middle of Brass Ring sponsoring a birthday party for a regular, and they got the whole restaurant to join in. It felt like a community hub more than just a restaurant.

Food wise, it is heavy. I go here if I know I want to feel solid after eating. The Vegan Patty melt is the go-to vegan option with vegan cheese bomb sauce and a side of natural cut french fries. There are not a lot of vegan food options, but the few they have are worth the visit. This lack of additional options is why I am rating only 3 stars. If they added a few more, I would bump them to 4 stars, easy.

Drink wise, Brass Ring offers a plethora of styles based on English drafts. They boast that they source all their ingredients from the UK, and they recently added cask options. It is a lesser-known brewery for the many beer options around town, but the real ones know this is a banger. They have the best English beers in town. I highly recommend the brown ale.
