fine donuts - Edit
On our last day of a family visit in Berlin we had donuts at home from Brammibal's. It was the first time I ate donuts and they were very fine. A bit too sweet for me, but tasty.

Why is it not possible to grant zero stars? - Edit
One of the worst experiences with a vegan business ever.
Read moreI had walked 3 km to have lunch there and had to walk further 3 km back after lunch.
Shocking to see that they have no toilet for the public.
As a case of emergency, I begged them to let me use their toilet.
Can't explain how cold shouldered they denied my request.
Useless to say that I left without buying anything and had finally lunch at a vegan Vietnamese not far away with extremely friendly customer and dog policy.
It is the outmost disrespect to attract the clients to a shop without the basic facility of a toilet, describing yourself in happy cow as a bakery AND a coffee. From the photos you give the impression that it is indeed a coffee, not a shop.
We have so many friendly vegan options in Berlin that we don't need to waste our precious time being lured into tourists traps.
Zero stars for the customer policy (absence of toilet) - 5 stars for the lack of basic human kindness and decency to help a woman in physical distress. Shame on you
In answer to your reply:
1) if the place is not fit for the public, do not open and/or announce it to the public. It is so simple
2) your staff DID NOT tell me I could use the next door business toilet. Otherwise, do you think I would have not relieved myself instantly and would have not bought donuts instead of begging on my knees and leaving in distress? Do you really think that this kind of insolent, insulting and pretextuous replies are a commercial plus to your reputation?
Pros: Zero pro. For me you can flush your donuts, down into your exclusive toilet
Cons: Take note of where they are on Google map, and walk in the opposite direction
brammibal
Hey Paola,
Read moreI am commenting as the owner of Brammibal's Donuts. First of all, I'm sorry about your experience.
Please let me explain why we have no toilet: in the back of this location we currently operate our bakery - this is where we make all our donuts from scratch. Back in February of 2018, when we were building the shopfront and our bakery, we were checked by the food safety authority (Lebensmittelaufsicht in German), and we discussed with them our plans of building the place, and informed them we wanted to build a toilet for customers in the hallway. Unfortunately they told us this was not possible due to hygiene reasons, because that would mean customers would have to enter the bakery hallway, which has been determined by the food safety authority as a "clean area", because it crosses paths with our food storage, our bakers, and the donuts. We were extremely disappointed by their decision, because of course we want to supply a toilet to all our customers (like we do in our other two locations), but please understand that this is really out of our control. If we would have built the toilet, and they would have come to check again, they have the authority to close us down.
I have spoken to our employees who have worked yesterday, and they informed me that they have offered you could use the next door's business toilet (as many of our customers do).
Kind Regards,
Bram
brammibal
Hey Paola,
Read moreFrom the size of this café, we do not need to offer a toilet for customers. In Germany, you need to provide a customer toilet 1) when you're serving alcohol or 2) when your guest room is bigger than 50 square meters.

Amazing stuff - Edit
A lovely place with a great variety of vegan doughnuts, one more delicious than the other! The salty caramel is a must, but also stranger and more original tastes are definitely worth a try - once I had one with rosemary and it was unexpectedly super yummi.

Pros: excellent food, dog-friendly (they even have vegan treats!), discounts at the end of the day!

4 to take home! - Edit
Decided I had to take some home to give to the family. We all really enjoyed the Boston cream, the pineapple coconut cream and the caramel macadamia nut donut. The smokey maple coconut donut was a bit odd but the rest of them were all amazing. Anything with cream is so so amazing - the August specials are definitely worth a taste.

Over hyped.. - Edit
Famed for their vegan donuts, there are currently two Brammibals spots in Berlin. I don’t generally have a sweet tooth but I heard it was worth a go so in the name of vegan munch I went. There were about ten different flavours on offer, mainly iced and only one filled option which was Gin and Tonic. We went for Raspberry and Pistachio and Chocolate Fudge Peanut Butter.
Read moreBoth were tasty and the dough was very fluffy and totally comparable to their non-vegan counterparts. Unfortunately I found the donuts and the drinks available a little overpriced and the service was lacklustre to say the least but for those of you with a prediction for the sugary it’s worth a whip around.
Pros: Nice flavours, Very instagrammable
Cons: Poor service, Expensive for what you get
brammibal
Hey Saskia,
Read morethank you for your review! I am replying as the owner of Brammibal's Donuts. I have read the caption of your picture which says you have paid over 14€ for two donuts, an espresso and an iced matcha latte. Please let me explain the pricing correctly: two donuts cost 5,5€ (2,75€ each, unless you buy our charity donut, which costs 0,50€ extra, because we donate 1€ to charity!). A double shot espresso costs 2,20€ and our iced matcha costs 4€. This totals to only 11,70€. I would really appreciate it if you could edit your caption - thank you! If we should indeed have overcharged you, please send us an e-mail!
saskiarabbit
I'm not editing my caption - I received 1€ change back from 15€, whether or not that is the correct price on your menu that's what I was charged and why I remember as I was so shocked! I see you aren't particularly bothered about the poor customer service I mentioned, unsurprisingly...

Petition to have brammibals in the uk - Edit
This place is amazing (and the other two branches) definitely recommend the cinnamon, Boston cream and chocolate and peanut butter doughnuts. I believe some of the flavours are standard and others will rotate. These are the best vegan doughnuts i have ever had by far. Good selection of drinks too just wish they did soy milk as well as oat. The bagels are also good especially the hummus and pesto one and make this a great place to stop for lunch or an afternoon snack.

Small place with a couple of tables outdoors and seats inside.
Read moreLots of vegan donuts, 2.75€ for a donut or €10 for four donuts.
I got a maple smoked coconut donut which was nice and a Boston one with cream filling that was half empty. Can’t say it was perfect but these were the best vegan donuts I found so far.
And they don’t have WC so next time I won’t take coffee even though soy cappuccino was really good haha.
Pros: 100% vegan , Lots of flavors, Friendly service
Cons: No WC in this branch , Donuts tastes kinda same, Few donuts with fillings
