Tasty bar food with vegan meat substitutes - Edit
We ordered the sausage rolls (excellent flavor encased in flakey pastry), nachos (pretty good), and sisig (a little dry but the crunch was nice). The craft beer (dark ale) was really good too and I don't normally drink beer.
Read moreIf you want bar food, this is your place. There is barely a vegetable in sight and probably only exist on the nachos. Not the healthiest cuisine but to be fair, I'm yet to see many vegetables feature in any of the local cuisine. For those not wanting fake meats though, tofu dishes are available too.
The restaurant has rebranded to Umani which is the name of the vegan meats they wholesale and of course what is used in the restaurant.

We ordered from Botany on Grab Food and were positively surprised by the taste.
Read moreSisig wraps, sausage rolls, burger and sausage sandwich were all really yummy. We loved the texture of the sisig as well as the smokey taste of the sausage.
The sausage sandwich could have had a bit more sausage in it.

FAKE POSITIVE REVIEWS ALL OVER THEIR GOOGLE PAGE ! Would give 1 star if HappyCow would let me. AVOID that place. From bad to worst. Started off when I ordered the Sisig Wrap and only got one serving when there was a big board - Buy one get one sisig wrap daily-. They then proceeded to cutting it in half when we asked why it was not 4 wraps but only two. When the server John came back we asked about the sign and if we would get the second one soon and he said no that was last week promotion. That would have been nice to know…. But it’s not mentioned anywhere ! Then they proceeded to erase the board and they never gave us the second serving. Then we ordered some beer that were also buy one get one ! We enjoyed our time there and when it was time to pay and they told us the price without giving a receipt so I ask for the receipt knowing that something might be off after all of that. And that’s where the [censored] hit the fan. We were charged for a bottle opener that we never asked for, nor got. They also charged us for the non alcoholic beer I got saying that it’s not part of the promo but no one told us that when I ordered it and that drink is with the beer on the menu and was named a brew on the board. We had to argue with them because we wouldn’t pay for that when no one told us that it’s not included. The way they treat customers for THEIR mistakes tells a lot about their customer service. I wish all the best to vegan business because there’s not a lot, but them… I just wish they close so they stop scamming people off. What a shame. The worst is that they won’t even care ! Go encourage another vegan business ! Shirley’s Just Vegan is on the same street and offers really good vegan food, Cosmic is way better too. Go elsewhere don’t encourage scammers. Would give 0 stars if possible. Btw clearly fake Google reviews. When you check they were all posted at like 3 minutes intervals and when you open their accounts the other reviews they left are all same or similar places.

Sisig - Edit
We had hoped to find the same menu in the restaurant as their online menu, but sadly it wasn't as extensive. We ordered the Sisig and Rice but it was lukewarm and way too oily, so we definitely chose the wrong dish! They weren't sure if the beers were vegan so we stuck to the water.

Vegan of my Dreams - Edit
Beer on tap, jackfruit corned beef style, cool friendly setting, entrepreneurial vegan business, lots of menu options - all the makings of a great restaurant. I enjoyed this place a lot and got some craft beers to go too.

Plant based meals - Edit
I liked the way they use jackfruit and lentils as meat substitute. I enjoyed most of the vegan dishes however I wish they will add more potato or jackfruit so I can feel full. 😆

We had appetizers, and I recommend AGAINST ordering them, because the serving size does not justify the price. Redeeming grace are the craft beers at Nipa Brew.
