Delicious and unusual Mexican vegan fare - Edit
Borreguitas is a very interesting (at this time, take-away only due to covid protocols) restaurant with homemade-tasting Mexican food. Completely vegetarian, leaning heavily towards vegan in most dishes, and 95% of the items can be ordered gluten-free as well, as they have GF tortillas in both burritos and taco sizes. I had the vegan burrito which was very flavorful--the beans are runny but delicious; the rice is very flavorful. My kid had the potato tacos and proclaimed them the best he'd ever had. Delicious vegan smoothie/shakes as well. VERY nice staff. It looks like it will be a good dine-in space when they decide to reopen for that.

Absolutely the best - Edit
There might be a better vegan Mexican restaurant than Borreguitas, but if so, I have not come across it. Everything we had here was unbelievably good, and I have been recommending it to everyone! The prices are pretty good, too.
Read moreWe lucked out, coming on Taco Tuesday. Had one of each kind, and they were all delicious, as were our enchiladas and burrito. The hibiscus agua fresca is to die for. It's really nice that everything on the menu is vegan, too, although that does make it difficult to choose from so many great options!.
Currently it's take-out only, but hopefully that will change soon. You can tell from the friendly staff that dine-in would be a good experience.
Cannot wait to come back - it's a 30-minute drive for us, but it's worth it.
Pros: Everything is vegan, Excellent value for money, Friendly, helpful service
Cons: Currently take-out only

Delicious, something for everyone - Edit
We got take out and it was universally loved. The adults had wet burrito al pastor, really really good. My wife who never finishes ate it all. I got the a la Diablo sauce and it was truly delicious and spicy. Kids for cheese enchiladas and were very happy with it. We all shared nachos al pastor, very pleased. The chips were made fresh and plenty of toppings. I had an asada street taco, also very good. Liked the green salsa and a steak at $1.50.

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! - Edit
Most of the menu is vegan, but they do offer vegetarian options. Best place for a vegan taco in all of the San Gabriel Valley. Authentic and family-owned. Staff is very friendly- they even know me by name now! And needless to say, all of their food is AMAZING!

So many vegan options!! - Edit
The food is very delicious and authentic tasting. Everything was perfect, but we wished there was a spicier salsa! Not many dessert options. They always let me buy tacos in my own containers to avoid waste!!

This is a small place with the charm of a local mexican restaurant. Taco Tuesday is Amazing. $1 Vegan Street Tacos. The Chicken Tacos are to die for. They take Cabbage and make it taste Amazing with a hint of fruitiness. The Asada taste like Carne. I am new to being Vegan and foods like this help me to stay Plant Based.

My New Favorite Place...I Accidentally Keep Ending up Here 🤩 - Edit
I am in love with this place! They have the most delicious food at such a CHEAP price! I bring everyone I know here, its so filling and super flavorful.
Read moreHere is what I recommend (all vegan): Enchiladas, Wet Burrito (its big!), the Asada Street Taco (not a huge fan of the El Pastor), Quesadilla w/ Mushroom and Spinach. The vegan milkshake and spinach pineapple juice are also delicious (I'm usually not a fan of any sweet drinks, but these are not too sweet!)
If you're vegetarian, I have also heard someone rave about the Torta (unfortunately its not vegan...so I have not tried).
Also I would skip out on the Tostaditas, the other dishes are much better and more filling.
The menu is small and simple. The location is small so you might have to wait to dine in at busier times. And don't forget that they have Taco Tuesdays for $1!
Pros: CHEAP , Delicious and filling, People there are very kind
Cons: Small, and if its busy there is nowhere to sit

I adore this hole-in-the-wall type of Mexican fast (but so fresh) food. The owner is amazing at what she’s done transforming traditional Mexican dishes into one’s suitable for vegans without compromising the flavor. Can Taco Tuesday be everyday now?

Tastes like my mother's - Edit
Absolutely amazing! I crave this place far too much. I've had their pozole, sopes, burritos, and platano frito. My favorite soy meat is their carne asada. I have really missed my mother's cooking and this place tastes like hers! So authentic, wonderful customer service, and a cozy place.

Amazing! - Edit
The food is the perfect authentic home cooked meal! The owners are super friendly as well. I highly reccomend the fried tacos, wet burrito, burger and aqua frescas. This is my new favorite spot, especially since there's pretty much nothing vegan to eat in Pomona. The only downfall is they still serve animal products (cheese) despite their Go Vegan messaging. Not sure why they even serve animal cheese. Hopefully one day they taje their own advice and go vegan.
