Review changed from 5 to 3 stars. We’ve been here many times as it’s one of the few all vegan places in town. We do really like the pizza but neither of us would recommend the burgers, they’re pretty bad honestly. My husband likes the chilli cheeze dog wrapper. I wouldn’t get the soft serve or the desserts, anytime we’ve tried them have been disappointed. Also be prepared to wait a long time, even when empty food takes 40 minutes. It’s better to call ahead and pick up.
Read moreWe like this place. Good food, surprisingly good pizza! I wish they had more drink options. We like the reusable plates etc. The only thing I do not recommend are the kids menu 'chikn fingers'. It's just a cut up burger, and not even crispy.

Delicious food, friendly staff. - Edit
Tried out Boon Burger while passing through Guelph, and absolutely loved it. Had the southwest crunch burger and the poutine, and I can’t wait to try more! The staff were all very friendly and it was a cute little space. Will be back for sure.

Excellent Food and Service - Edit
I've never been in this place before. But I brought my omni dad and grandmother and they were impressed, with it being their first vegan experience. I ordered the Southwest Crunch and it was exploding with flavour! I will definitely return again!

Great menu - Edit
I had the Animal Lovers pizza and it was quite tasty, although a bit heavy on the barbecue sauce. I liked the extra little touches, such as instead of getting a number for your order, you got a cute little animal figurine to put on your table.

Boon is a seriously awesome all- vegan burger joint to fulfill all your fast food cravings. Delicious burgers with lots of original topping combos and FOUR patties to choose from (three original recipes and now the Beyond Meat patty). They also serve peace-zas , chili dogs, poutines, and also have a dedicated kids menu. Both vegans and non vegans will enjoy the food here.

Finally tried their buffalo ceasar and Hawaiian pizzas and they were absolutely amazing! Placed an order for pickup and took it home. Although I found the Hawaiian to be a little too saucy, it was still good. Definitely ordering from Boon Burger in the future!

Delicious + GF options - Edit
We got the Namaste and Baja burgers on gluten free buns. Baja was the clear favourite, but they were both delicious. And caution when ordering fries: the “large” is an understatement. It’s a cafeteria platter of fries 🍟

100% Vegan Burgers & Pizza! - Edit
Great vegan burger place. They have some other options too like pizza and fries/poutine (I had the pulled-jackfruit poutine!). Really nice atmosphere with nice canvas photos of animals (cow, sheep) on the walls. I went with my non-vegan family members who said they loved it. Food wasn’t oily or processed. We didn’t try the vegan cookies or soft-serve ice cream, but it looked good.
Read moreI wish they had some mention of Veganism or an explanation about why being vegan is good for animals, your health and the environment. Just a little thing on the menu or at the table to educate curious non-vegan customers but not in-your-face to turn off those non-vegans who willingly choose to stay ignorant.
I loved the photos of animals on the walls!
Pros: Homemade burger patties; not “mock meat”, Big menu, 100% vegan (including soft serve ice cream!)
Cons: No mention of Veganism or even “plant based”

Good pizza - Edit
Went for lunch and had to wait a bit. Had the bacon cheeseburger pizza and it had pickles on it- other than that it was good. Hubby had the cowgirl burger on the cashiers recommendation. Said it was really gooey which he liked but should come with fries for the price

Tasty - Edit
I used to prefer having the burgers in a wrap due to the awkward, large, square buns. But the buns have since been improved to a more traditional shape and size. They look/taste great too.

Delicious! And a little pricey. - Edit
Had lunch at Boon with my teenage daughter. First time there, saw it on Happy Cow. We both had Boon patties, hers on a whole wheat bun, me on lettuce with Joe fixings. Really really delicious! Nifty selection of beverages too. Between the 2 of us: 2 burgers, 1 side of fries and 2 bottled drinks came to $30. One thing to know...the menu board on the wall is just the specials of the day. Pick up the flyer from the basket to see the whole menu. Really yummy food.

Our plates were delicious but we were amazed at how you couldn't tell some of the food was vegan. E.g. Their Hawaiian pizza (to die for) and soft serve chocolate "ice cream". We think this is a place even non-vegans will enjoy. Hearty, tasty, satisfying food.

Really big portions with extensive variety of burgers. There's something on that menu for everyone. A unique spin on fries, goes great with the sweet chili sauce. Can't wait to be back and try more styles of burgers!

Must try!!! - Edit
I got the boon burger with a side Caesar salad and I tried both the iced tea and lemonade that they had for drinks and the whole meal was DELISH! I tried my sisters Caesar wrap which was really tasty! She got a side poutine, I didn't try it but it looked really good. The restaurant itself is so cute too! Friendly staff, good service and overall great atmosphere! This is defs going to be my go-to vegan spot now! I have major heart eyes.

I like the idea of a vegan burger bar, but I think boom burger is subpar (in Guelph at least, the Barrie location is awesome). Burgers are soggy and fries were cold. Their soup changes, but the one I ordered in December was super salty and inedible. Also, gift cards purchased at other locations are not able to use at the Guelph location. It's all vegan, which is great, but There are way better places to eat in Guelph.

A Wonderful Lunch - Edit
Came here for lunch with two omnivores. We all loved the food. Very inventive menu with some neat nuances (peach chutney etc). It was the best gluten free bun my mother ever had, very fluffy and tasty. I had the pizza, poutine and bacun cheeze burger. All were excellent. They have a nice selection of beverages as well. The atmosphere is very nice as well with a low key vibe and good music playing. All in all a great experience. Can't wait to return.
