A great place to find anything for a great vegan danish, cake 🍰, cupcake 🧁 or doughnut 🍩
Read moreA bit on the pricey side but it’s also gluten-free - so a great place to come with friends that have dairy or gluten intolerances and to introduce them to plant based😄
I enjoyed the goodies but I also think they taste a bit more healthy than your average American 🇺🇸 baked good…

Super Healthy, Super Delicious - Edit
I saw a review below that said this place sacrifices taste for health and I was hesitant to go but I am glad I did not listen to that review because they were super wrong. This place is incredible, I really couldn't believe that this place was oil-free and white sugar free because of the moist and delicious taste of all the items I tried. The Apple spice Donuts were amazing. The scones were great. The chocolate cupcakes great. It was all really good. My least favorite item was the cookie but even that was fine. If I lived in Milwaukee I would eat here often as I try to live a whole food, plant-based life free of oils, white sugar, and white flour. This place checks all those boxes and does not sacrifice taste. And for all the things they do to make this good for you it would actually surprisingly affordable.

Healthier, but Sacrifices Taste - Edit
This place has many healthier options when it comes to baked goods, but most of it just isn't that good. I'm glad they exist but I probably wouldn't go again.

Delicious healthy baked goods - Edit
Since my cancer diagnosis in July 2017 I’ve been doing my best to stay away from refined sugars. I was so excited to find this bakery online! They do gluten free, vegan, and refined sugar free breads, scones, muffins, cupcakes, lemon bars, pizza crust and more! Since my husband has celiacs disease he was excited too!

Lemon bar! -delicious! Tasted like the lemon bars of my childhood without all the junk.
Truffle- delicious!
Lemon blueberry muffin! -by far my favorite!
Banana chocolate chip muffin. - it was okay. I didn’t like the texture as much.
Cinnamon roll. -tasted best when warmed. I really enjoyed the nutty topping, but the rest of it was kinda bland.
We have a carrot cupcake to try still. But all in all I think I want more of the blueberry muffins. They had the perfect amount of flavor, sweetness and a nice texture.
We also grabbed a pizza crust and had pizza when we got home. I thought the crust was good! Not the best I’ve ever had, but I’d eat it again.

Vegan baked goods, my happy place! - Edit
If I lived in Milwaukee, I would have breakfast here all the time! As it is, I was only able to enjoy one wonderful breakfast here before my flight home, and I am so glad I did. Scone? Check. Cinnamon bun? Check. Good coffee? Yep, that too. And a nice atmosphere, bakery aromas, I could have spent all morning.

Went to this bakery for the first time today and was extremely impressed. They had a variety of delicious looking treats and everything they offer is vegan, grain-free, refined sugar-free, soy-free, and peanut-free. I had the apricot scone which was SO GOOD! The staff was super friendly and had a list of ingredients ready incase you were curious about it. They let me use my own containers for the treats to reduce package waste. I will definitely be going here again!

Wonderful bakery! - Edit
Everything I've had here has been delicious- scones, cookies (I especially love the cashew butter, perfectly chewy), biscotti, cupcakes, and an amazing nut-butter bar with chocolate topping. They also brew rishi iced tea, which is delicious to enjoy with the baked goods. I haven't tried any of the savory rolls or breads yet but they look wonderful. And I'm already planning to order one of their beautiful cakes for my birthday! This is an awesome addition to the vegan dining scene in Milwaukee.

Blooming Lotus gets it right. Whether you have diet restrictions or not, give this place a try. Delectable cookies, muffins, scones, cupcakes. Nothing short of delicious. I've always been an advocate of places that promote healthier options and breaking the notion that there is any sacrifice for taste.
