Open daily.
They should call this a mock meat butcher shop - Edit
Wonderful place to find fairly convincing meat alternatives. I get fake chicken nuggets here to take to birthday parties. I also love the Taiwanese sausages. It's not 'health' food but so nice as a treat once in a while. The staff can be shy due to their English-as-a-second-language but if you are friendly, they will be very friendly right back.
A large store with a wide range of vegan and vegetarian products, including frozen and shrink wrapped fake meats, tofu, sauces, and many others. Excellent (almost overwhelming) variety at reasonable prices. They also have a smaller store in Northcote.
this store has every kind of fake meat known to man from "vegetarian tuna" to "vegetarian fish flavoured beef". some products are better than others but its worth going here to stock up and experiment with different things.
the staff is nice and the selection is diverse. worth a look.
We've been eating blissful food for years now, and if you like mock meat, this is the place for you. I can't say we like everything they sell, but the tuna, sausages and chicken nuggets are excellent. THe food can be a bit fatty, but otherwise it's nice, though can be heavy after eating! Eat in moderation! Also watch out for eggs. A few of the burgers in particular are made with eggs. If you plan to return, be sure to get on their mailing list. They occasionally have 15% off sales, and email all customers.
A lot of mock meats that were vac packed or frozen (I picked up some mock tuna which even the cat found convincing) Veg noodles, dried mushrooms and seaweeds, soups, lovely tinned fried gluten. (A lot of imported Taiwan foods etc) Very good prices and lovely staff.
Only sometimes the labelling is not really clear or in English with strange spellings but I found the staff helpful if they saw me looking puzzled!
Worth a look, some very nice shredded mushroom 'fluff', goes on everything I eat now! ;-)
