Vegan options available but limited

Vegan options are clearly marked on the menu which is always helpful. But its limited. Its like animal product food minus an ingredient or two rather than innovative creative vegan Italian - at least for pastas we ordered, pizzas might be better? Ingredients were fresh though! Good to go with non vegan friends because i dont have to eat wine for dinner at an italian place😄

Good pizza - several vegan options

Called in for a quick meal before getting the train. We’re promptly seated (not many others inside). Staff friendly and efficient. Several clearly marked vegan options on the menu - shared the $16 Popeye (tomato/ spinach / mushroom) pizza which was very good (if a little expensive). Good beer and wine list (though not indicated whcih maybe vegan).

Pros: Several vegan options clearly marked on the menu, Nice airy restaurant , Attentive friendly staff

Omission does not equal Option

We need to stop giving out high ratings because an establishment has “vegan offerings.” and be a bit more honest about the quality of that offering. I understand we all want to support places opening up to plant-based menu options but, unless we are honest, we are just paying high prices for mediocre food.

Awesome vegan menu! The best Wood fired pizza!

The woodfired pizza is as good as the best pizzas I had in southern Italy. Even their simple one with tomato sauce oregano will knock your socks off. This place has awesome staff who are very catering and kind to vegan diners. The chef is also amazing and has put together several vegan pasta dishes that are outstanding. This is a lively place with a cozy corner bar that would be nice for a first date. It’s also just a couple blocks from the ocean. The Omnivore options pleased my friends who joined me. We go here a lot and usually sit at the bar and while away an afternoon over a carafe of their house wine. There’s also a pretty decent happy hour.

Pros: separate vegan menu!, Very creative chef esp for the pastas!, Happy hour specials

Cons: can be loud , TVs

I loved my food

I ordered the verdure pasta with pappardelle for Mother’s Day to go! And man. It was soo good. I would have liked to see more asparagus tho. The sauce was so good and the pasta seemed home made. Tasted like I was at my nonnas house in Brinidisi Italy, the sauce and pasta were sooo good. The gnocchi is the best I have had in many years as well.

Pros: A whole vegan menu. , Fresh homemade and authentic Italian, Good prices and good people

Cons: Pizza was cold. Maybe do those last for to go.

So wanted to love this place

Small servings of veggies. I so wanted to love another vegan place that served Italian food. I went twice. The first time, my portion was small. My father a meat eater wasn’t impressed either. I gave them another try and ordered extra veggies on the pizza, but I was sadly disappointed. My husband had the quinoa paella and was underwhelmed. The drinks were good and friends who eat there that are Omni say positive things but vegan, there are better pizza places and gf, i would rather eat at home. I am so sorry to say this. I try to support local places and hope that they improve. We need gf and vegan places in Oceanside. They are so promising.

Pros: Vegan options , Gf options, Great drinks

Cons: Expensive , Small quantities of veggies
