Good but expensive. - Edit
I ordered the vegan big breakfast with optional potato rosti. The food was yum but I felt they were a bit skimpy on the quantity of some of the items…chickpeas, one slice of bread etc and the price was quite expensive $. The vegan tzatziki wasn’t great, I couldn’t eat it and It didn’t really go with the dish. It probably should have been hummus instead. Overall it was yummy but for the price I’d probably expect a bit more.

Great place - Edit
Blackwork have always had a decent selection of vegan items. Old favorites were hotcakes, though they aren't on the current menu. Buffalo cauliflower wings are awesome, as is the vegan open souvlaki and the vegan big breakfast.

discrimination against people on the autism spectrum - Edit
Tom (the owner) refused to serve my sister, who has Aspergers. I was extremely disappointed and offended by the rude comments made about my family and the refusal of service to someone on the spectrum; As it just ableist. He has left my sister distraught and fragile and I would not recommend this cafe to anyone with any morals.

Lots of choice! - Edit
A cute easy to locate cafe in Croydon and easy to park at. Vegan sandwich options on display (often includes tofu) and vegan cakes and muffins. Sandwiches can be made to order.
Read moreTheir usual menu has several vegan options, as does their new March take away menu for COVID. Reasonable serving size for the price (Buddha bowl $16). The bowls had a different flavour twist to what you’d normally find in a suburban cafe - definitely worth a try!
Friendly staff happy to help and make adjustments to meals from the menu.
Pros: Vegan meal, sweets and coffee in the one place!, Interesting flavour combinations, Friendly staff
Cons: A little on the expensive side for lunch

DELICIOUS - Edit
I go here sometimes with an Omni friend and we always rave about it. They’ve got a fair few vegan options for sweet and savoury!!!! My favourite is a pumpkin ravioli omggg. I would bathe in it if I could. It also has smashed avo (not bad) and amazing looking pancakes I’m yet to try. Seems to be a lot of options in their cabinet too!

Vegan breakfast - Edit
Good number of options for vegan breakfast. Scrambled tofu was quite smooth, I usually prefer more texture. Mushrooms were good. I was excited to try vegan haloumi, but disappointed to find the extra $5 only got me 3

i had the vegan gnocchi which wasn't the most delicious meal i've ever had. the gnocchi itself was good but needed sauce or something. idk. i liked the atmosphere and am excited about the clear vegan options on the menu. the vegan desserts looked great but i didn't try any this time.

Bad service - Edit
Was really looking forward to coming here and trying out the vegan options, these is not many options for vegan is croydon,
Read moreI got a sit straight away. Wait about 15 minuets.
no one come to see if I was ready to order, so I went up to cantor before someone took my order.
Food came about 15 minuets later. The chefs did a great job.
(My bad for asking if it’s spicy as I was excited about my options)
I was so disappointed in the service, after getting my meal NO come back to ask how I was going or to see if I needed anything. I sit waiting for about 20 minuets before I got up and took my meal to the cantor to ask to get it to take away.
BUT if you want great food by the chefs with s**t service this is the place to good.

Variety - Edit
I had the Rosemary & Potato Terrine on my first visit. It was pleasant but probably missing an element to make it a complete meal at $18. Possibly a green salad would make it a little more balanced, as the macadamia cream is very rich and the mushrooms quite salty.
Read moreI am curious about trying other items on the menu on another visit; hopefully, I can up the rating. Great to see a dedicated vegan menu.
Pros: Vegan menu, Friendly staff
