Bad Chef, Real Meat - Edit
I ordered their vegan turkey club from the menu, and made sure to call and clarify that it had all vegan ingredients because the menu is unclear. The front desk girl assured me it was all vegan. When I got it home and opened it, it was all meat. Real bacon, real turkey, real cheese. Not even a little bit vegan.
Read moreI called to complain, and the girl said she didn't believe me, that maybe I was confused because their vegan meats look real (they don't), and she was sure she told the chef to make it vegan (he didn't).
So I drove all the way back and showed it to her because obviously it was real meat. By the time I got there, she had talked to the chef and realized he had indeed messed up. To her credit she apologized profusely, had a real vegan "sandwich" waiting for me and emailed me a gift card to refund the money.
Apparently the "chef" is brand new and doesn't understand the concept of what a vegan sandwich is. In fact he doesn't seem to know what a sandwich is at all. The replacement real vegan sandwich he made me was absolutely awful. The bun it was on was about 1/3 the size of the tofurkey that was under it, and he didn't think to either cut or fold the tofurkey so it could fit in the bun. Or, given how ridiculously small this bun was (think the width of a ritz cracker), he could've used different bread. The top of the bun was so stale it was hard to bite. The bottom bun was so thickly soaked in mayonaise it squirted through the bottom onto my hands. The lettuce was chopped iceberg and all over the place (not inside the sandwich). The fake bacon was falling all over the place. The sandwich just didn't work as a sandwich. I sincerely hope the chef is fired soon so they can get a replacement, because this person knows nothing about how to put together a sandwich.
On top of everything, the place advertised themselves as a Vegan Cafe. This is a bald faced lie. They only have a couple of vegan sandwiches. The majority of their items are meat based. You can't call yourself vegan if you have even a little meat, let alone mostly meat options.
Pros: Girl in front apologized
Cons: Terrible chef, Got served real meat, Sandwwhich failed at being a sandwich

It's awesome - Edit
This place is next to Exit 7 off I-95, which is conveniently on my way home :). I mainly order the Vegan BLT or Vegan Turkey Club. I actually don't drink coffee on a regular basis. However, their Cubano/Cardamon latte with oat milk do make me change my habits, lol. I enjoy the staff I've met, and there was this one employee (I think her name was Kristen?) who was so sweet and friendly that it made me want to come back. Another thing I enjoy about this place is their back room. It's comfortable seating and quiet. Oh, and they also have a drive-thru window which is awesome for these covid times.
Read moreI will say that one thing I wasn't a fan of was the prices of the CBD options. I don't take CBD or smoke, but I was like, daaaaaayuuuum! You need like a small loan from the bank to pay for it, lol.

Stick to the Cumberland location - Edit
If I was reviewing the Cumberland location it would get 5 stars. But I’ve been to the Coventry location several times and been disappointed each time. My husband ordered a tuxedo latte today that was undrinkable. The staff were unable to tell me which pastries were gluten free. I was also disappointed to see that the Coventry location has added a lot of non-vegan items to the menu. I prefer to support all-vegan establishments when I can. I feel it is falsely advertised. I’ll stick to the Cumberland location.
