Very original vegan food! - Edit
Really nice vegan options! Not ‘just’ a plantbased burger but lovely and original other options. A nice suprise for this rural pub!

Gourmet vegan food in an unlikely setting - Edit
I recently stayed in nearby Hutton le Hole on a short break and as the pub there was closed there were limited options for eating. I tried this place the first night and was pleasantly surprised. The vegan offering was quite extensive for a traditional rural pub, with a separate vegan desert menu. I visited twice and had an excellent meal on both occasions. Beware it is a rural country sports area so the pub has stuffed animals and hunting / shooting paraphernalia on the walls, and is frequented by local gamekeepers and farmers, but the staff were very friendly and the vegan offering is excellent. Gets busy at weekends so booking advisable but has a large dining area.

Great pub with great food - Edit
Spent a few nights in a cottage in Lastingham recently to explore the Yorkshire Moors, couldn't believe my luck to have this place just a few doors down. For such a wee hamlet to have as big a pub and cater for vegans is quite rare in the UK.
