Amazing!!

This place is awesome! Everyone should try this place at least once in their life. It is definitely an unusual experience but a great one. Also the food is great. It was all delicious and filling. When they say six courses, they’re not small so you definitely get your money’s worth. We left full and satisfied and awed. We highly recommend!

Pros: All vegan menu, Unique experience , Nice staff

Cons: Expensive (but worth it!)

Amazing Experience

My husband and I took our two younger children (7,8) for lunch today. The food was absolutely delicious and it was so much fun for all of us. Nicki was our host and she was wonderful! It is very expensive, and we wouldn’t typically spend $250 plus tip on a lunch, but this is much more than just a meal, it is an experience.

Amazing food and experience

What a great experience! It’s crazy how much your other senses come into play when you can’t see. The servers were super lovely and accomodating for my nut allergy. I loved the experience and would highly recommend even for the price.

Pros: Friendly service, Great food and flavours

Cons: Expensive

Fun

This was a cool concept and a fun experience. They never tell you that it’s fully vegan even at the end. The only thing is, especially for the price, the food was only fair in my opinion. If the food was incredible, it would be a great experience to “trick” non vegans.

Too Cool

This place was pretty awesome, and the staff was great, my mom and I got two cocktails on the house, and we were just laughing the whole time at how ridiculous we must have looked and how we were eating, we had the best time. If you’re looking for something fun to do GO HERE! My mom and I were also stuffed when finished, we didn’t even finish the last serving. Little expensive though, but well worth it.

Pros: delicious food, filling, great atmosphere

Cons: expensive

The perfect way to ring in NYE

We decided to spend New Year's Eve over a fancy dinner and skip the drunken parties. I'd needed a reason to go to Dining In The Dark for a minute, and the holiday seemed like the perfect opportunity.

You have to understand a few things:

Firstly, this is not an experience for someone who is "precious". If your going to be demanding and high maintenance, go somewhere you can pick your food, ogle the waiter, and try to look alluring over candlelight.

Secondly, the whole point of dining in the dark is so that you fully immerse yourself in the experience of dining, without distractions. Yes, it's a mystery menu. That's part of the point.

Thirdly, I learned something about myself I would have never notified before. I was eating my entree and it was incredible! I think this was the fifth course. I was so full by that point I stopped eating. Our waiter came by and asked if I was done, and I replied honestly that I wasn't sure... I couldn't see how much food was left on my plate. The moral of the story is, without the visual cue to keep eating just bc the food was there, I stopped eating when I was satiated.

The food was excellent and the experience was eye opening (pun quasi intended). Would definitely recommend for foodies and adventurers alike.

Pros: All Vegan!, Completely unique experience

Great food at a very high price

The food was excellent, and it was certainly an interesting experience. But at $100 per person, I think I’d probably pass if the opportunity comes up again. Unfortunately, I didn’t ask about the price until we were done, and the information was not offered before we went in. I give the food five stars, but one star for value.

Pros: Delicious food, Interesting experience, Great wait staff

Cons: Extremely expensive, Not a good value for the money, Not a beautiful location

Unique experience with delicious food!

On our trip to Las Vegas, we were thrilled to find out about this place.
The staff were very friendly and were great about talking you through the experience. Although I don't know if the darkness made the food taste better, my dining mate and I enjoyed quietly guessing what we were eating. The servers had a small light so you could see them when they approached.
Although it was not the cheapest meal ever, it was worth it for 6 courses. And I just wish I could see photos of the food or have a bit more description at the menu reveal at the end.
I just hope they are still around next time we are in vegas!

Pros: Friendly staff, All vegan

Unique restaurant

Just went there the other night with hubby and tried this for the first time. Once you get used to being in the dark it’s fun to experience all the courses and try to guess what they are. My non vegan husband was impressed with the main course which I thought was seitan steak but menu at the end said was ‘chicken’ Since its all vegan restaurant I really enjoyed the creative dishes without having to ask questions about everything. I was full partway through main course but saved room for dessert. Only a few things I thought were a bit too salty but overall delicious. It is a bit pricey so probably won’t go back soon, but would recommend to people not on a budget. Drinks are extra at $12 each and up and tipping recommended at 20% and up. Since we are from Canada it is 35% more for us too. Our server Victoria was lovely and was an excellent guide. We had the first seating at 5:00 so was quiet most of our meal, then a big group came in near the end which was entertaining but quite noisy. You also have to sign a waiver before going in to the dining room just in case you hurt yourself somehow which is awkward on a small laptop with no proper mouse or touchscreen. Maybe upgrade those to iPads or put proper mouse faster to navigate the form. The staff is great overall very helpful and friendly and most of them are Vegan. Would be perfect if a little more reasonably priced but was busy even at those prices. Even saw a family with older kids come in when we left. I hope they succeed mostly because they are all vegan and gourmet food.

Pros: Unique dining experience , Friendly staff, gourmet vegan food and lots of it

Cons: Price, slow to check in, can be noisy

Amazing Food, incredible staff, beautiful experience, a whole new way to experience food

Wow, simply an incredible way to enjoy food with an astoundingly attentive staff who make sure that you are comfortable and taking care of literally every step of the way. Food is absolutely beautifully created each dish was better than the last, the conversations that we had with our server were some of the best that I've had with anybody in a very long time. Some seriously amazing characters who obviously love their job.

Pros: all vegan, a totally new and amazing experience, helpful and very personable staff , quite possibly

Delicious and unique

I found out about Blackout when googling for vegetarian restaurants in Las Vegas. I love to eat healthy, interesting food and I also love to try out new experiences so this place definitely fit those criteria!

The restaurant is located in a non-descript strip mall 5 minutes away from the main drag. The servers and check-in people were all friendly and made you feel comfortable if you were a little unsure of what to expect.

As a result of this evening, I definitely learned that my taste buds are not as refined as I thought as I mis-identified much of it. Food is usually such a visual experience but in this case, it was all about the feel and taste. Some food I ate with my fingers but silverware still came in handy.

Anyhow I won't tell you what we ate because that would take away the fun but it was a wide variety of flavors and textures. But I can tell you that I was absolutely stuffed to the gills by the end. Please note -- they don't serve hot drinks for obvious reasons.

Highly recommend !

Yes, this is pricey for vegan food but it's worth the splurge!

Pros: Excellent food, Great staff and servers, Interesting sensory experience

Cons: High price, Located in an ugly strip mall

Best food we’ve had in Vegas!

I’m not gonna lie, I was nervous about eating in the dark not having any idea what was on my plate. It was AMAZING!!! Best experience and best food we’ve had all week! The flavors were stunning (possibly enhanced because we were deprived of sight?). I would recommend this place to everyone regardless of food preferences!!!

Pros: great service, fabulous flavors

Surreal Experience and Great Food!

That is certainly an experience of a lifetime, but experience put aside, the fact that it is vegan food is simply incredible! Every course was delicious, surprising and very tasty. Our server, Daniel C. was pleasant, kind and attentive and everybody made sure that we had a fantastic time. Be prepared to be challenged in a wonderful way!

An experience to remember

Made a reservation at 5, intending to see a show at 7. The front desk was very helpful and accommodating in making sure we'd be through with dinner in time for the show. Our server was excellent. He told us where things were on the plate and what utensils to use, without giving away what the food is.

Eating in total darkness was a really interesting experience. You taste things differently when you have no expectations about what you're eating. You get to see the menu at the end. I was surprised by how many things I thought were potatoes, that were not in fact potatoes.

Oh also the food is delicious and the portions are generous. A+, would come back here again in a heartbeat.

Pros: Delicious food, Excellent service, Really interesting experience

Cons: You're going to get a little messy., It's not cheap, but hey, it is a 6 course meal
