Founded in 1997, BVSGA is a nonprofit, membership organization that promotes a plant-based diet through education and support programs to address the disproportionate levels of chronic and degenerative diseases that affect African Americans. BVSGA meets for restaurant outings, lectures, cooking classes, and potlucks. The group hosts an annual vegetarian food fair in Atlanta for the Great American Meatout in March and an annual Vegetarian Harvest Potluck in November.

Great Resource

I love their Instagram feed and follow it religiously! They post all kinds of great tips for new vegans, reminders for current vegans, and about upcoming events, etc. Thanks, BVSG!
