Best restaurant I’ve ever been too - Edit
Best food I’ve ever had with great ambiance and kind staff. Went twice when in Copenhagen. Once for breakfast where I got the tofu scramble on toast with an americano and danish. All of it was amazing! Went back for an apérol spritz, pasta carbonara, and tiramisu. All vegan and divine! Must visit!

It was alright - Edit
The service was in general very good and super nice. We just had one day in Copenhagen and were looking for a place to eat before our flight. We chose this place due to their good reviews and lots of options but we ended up being a bit disappointed since they only had a very limited menu due to this "diner week" we were not aware of.
Read moreWe chose the pasta which was one out of two options of main courses. The taste was nice but the portion rather small and left me yet hungry.
For dessert we had a cheesecake which was not to my liking, the jelly on top and the bottom were not good but the cream in the middle had a nice taste.
In our opinion it was expensive for what we had, which was 2 small pastas, one small piece of cheesecake, tap water and an apple juice for 500 dkk, yet again it is also Copenhagen, so these prices could be normal.
Pros: Good taste , Many options , Friendly staff
Cons: Small portions , High prices

Hi Lise, sorry you went expecting the full menu. We did post on all possible forums (including Happy Cow, Instagram, website & Google) that during Dining Week we have limited menu (like all other restaurants). Price wise we are cheaper than all our neighbours and Denmark is generally quite pricey compared to other counties. I hope you come back and try our food again - I’m sure we can delight you with some other dishes😄thanks for taking the time to give feedback it makes us better!

Best in Nyhavn - Edit
Great food, staff, and ambiance! I went for a casual late lunch and was able to find a seat. The food was delicious and staff were friendly. I was so happy I went back for a takeaway lunch the next day! But peak lunch time is quite busy indoors, you'd be best to make a reservation. Otherwise, they have tables outdoors also.

Green Verde Victory - Edit
What a delightful find, just one road back from the main canal where H. C. Andersen lived and tour boats moor up. Easy to find, a spacious location with seating inside and out. We chose outside and instantly were given a blanket each plus there was an electric heater above. This was in early October, just after sunset, and the night chill was starting to creep in. We ordered 4 small plates to share, having both declared we only wanted a quick snack. The Chips & Guacamole were tasty (chips = handmade crisps), the Stir-fried Broccoli was totally delicious, the Cæsar Salad topped with tofu was cracking and the deep fried Mushrooms disappeared rather quickly! 😋 The staff were most attentive, friendly and gave us their personal recommendations when asked. This restaurant is 100% vegan and what an achievement! Nothing pretentious, simply honestly delicious food. So much so, we found ourselves back there 2 days later to sample the Weekend Brunch Plate option. The Brunch offering finishes at 13:00 so don’t be late! Matcha Tea and a glass of Albariño Etiqueta Verde were drunk alongside the fabulous brunch which comprised a generous pot of hot, scrambled tofu with onions and chives, a couple of cocktail sausages and smoky bacon; a pot of cheese style spread topped with chives; a pot of in-house granola with yoghurt and fruit; a pot of fruity jam; a pot of in-house made nutty chocolate; fresh fruit plus a couple of pancakes. We bravely ate our way through our brunch plates and didn’t regret it for a moment. This really set us up for the day and encouraged us to walk further and explore Copenhagen even more.

I highly recommend the weekend brunch plate! We shared it between two people as it is quite a big portion. The matcha latte was amazing as well.

Delectable vegan selections in a cozy below-street-level bistro - Edit
After our walking tour of Copenhagen, we decided to hunt out a vegan restaurant for lunch. Luckily, this one wasn't far from where we ended up, so we made the trek. Bistro Verde is located along a row of hotels, many with their own restaurants that have sidewalk dining. Bistro Verde is no different, but we opted to eat inside as it was a little chilly for us that day. A few steps down into the restaurant is a very cozy, environment. It appeared the main dining area wasn't open, so we were seated in a small side room.
Read moreMenus were provided and several of our questions were answered by staff. We decided on the Fried Oyster Mushrooms to start and to share the trio of Open-Faced Sandwiches (Vegan Salmon, Vegan Beef and Potatoes). The mushrooms were great! They had a nice texture to them after being fried and hubby loved the accompanying aioli. The sandwiches arrived next and they were beautifully-plated. We had asked to have them cut in half to make sharing easier, but the chef declined for aesthetic reasons. Completely understandable! They provided a sturdier knife with which to cut the sandwiches and it worked fine. The presentation wouldn't have been nearly as impressive if the cutting had been done before. Good decision! All three were super-tasty in addition to being pretty to look at. Seeing as we could still eat more after this, we ordered two desserts, the Fløderboller and the Homemade Praline. Both were very tasty, as well, not too sweet, but just sweet enough. Hubby inquired about the Fløderboller, but discovered it's just purchased, not made in-house.
All in all, a satisfying meal. The portions were a bit smaller to what we are accustomed to, but they had enough selection to order a variety of different things should that be your goal. I would go back and try other things on the menu.
Pros: Large menu selection, Friendly, welcoming staff
Cons: Smallish portions

Can’t believe I left it so long to try this place, went back for lunch and dinner in the same day! Had the panini for lunch, Juciy Marbles steak for dinner and the cream bun from Glean for dessert. As well as happy hour cocktails, outstanding

Fantastic - Edit
So much to like about this place. So many fantastic options, good spaces, outdoor seating.. we had the two Buddha bowls and they were excellent. I took the protein one with a side of sourdough bread and olive oil - gorgeous (tofu was probably over-salted slightly). Lovely coffee, wanted to try more foods but the bowls were large and filling. Price is okay for Copenhagen. Would love to come again.

Not a great experience - Edit
After reading the positive reviews, our visit to Bistro Verde was quite dissapointing. The pasta was drowning in a creamy sauce that tasted a bit bland. We politely mentioned this to the waitress but emphasized that her service was great. We then noticed another waiter ridiculing us behind our backs as we walked out. Not a great feeling.

Came here for breakfast it was absolutely delicious. I had the tofu scramble which was served on sourdough bread and very good but the savory pancakes/crepes my husband ordered?!!! They were a show stopper. So delicious and different! Go for that as I’ve never had anything like it anywhere.

Excellent service - Edit
Charming bistro with excellent personal - real service and not anything "scan your menu and order from the desk" that many places unfortunately nowadays have, shame on them.
Read moreI had the brunch plate, is left me really full and all was tasty, especially the 'bacon and eggs'. The plate was adapted to gluten free diet, however they are could take care of allergies better - I was not asked for them and some parts of the meal were left out instead of replacing. I was also not sure if the granola was gluten free, if you have celiac, go somewhere else to be safe.
Pros: Vegan becon, Real service, Home made gluten free bread upon request
Cons: Allergens not marked and not handlede clearly, Expensive

Must go in København - Edit
Great place and amazing choice of dishes. I arrived at brunch time so I chose the big weekend platter - I hardly managed to finish it. Everything on it was delicious and portioned so that you’d have enough of one flavour but not too much and you can enjoy the next. The Nøtella and own “cheese” are to die for. Waiting personnel really friendly and speaks English too.

Have the right expectation - pricy and small dishes - Edit
Don’t kid yourself - if you’re super hungry you need more dishes and be prepared to pay a high premium for what you get - just have the right expectation. The food is very good. The dish-size debatable - I would not classify the bowls they offer as bowls as they are tiny - having been to many global places, a bowl is called what’s bigger than that - chips’n’guacamole is rather a cup with half guacamole, decorated with tortillas, but good guacamole - the vegan tiramisu is excellent, super creamy on top and perfectly moist at the bottom and has a good size as a desert - the attempt is to offer good food in rather smaller portions in an more fancy and high priced segment and setting, where it comes down to the right expectation as mentioned - the staff is super friendly and many and the location is surely worth a visit to explore hence the prices. I would have liked to catch breakfast, but it’s limited to 11:45 am - maybe that is worth a second try for the next visit in town.

Trendy vegan restaurant near the new habour - Edit
Bistro verde is a nice and trendy completely vegan restaurant near the new habour. They offer breakfast as well as lunch, pastries and dinner. We went there for coffee and tried a danish pastry, and another time for lunch, we’re we got the typical smørrebrød, which are sandwiches with different toppings. The food was nicely arranged and delicious, especially the sandwiches! It was quite expensive, but I think it was worth it!
