Bypass the desserts - Edit
Given the other reviews I was expecting better food for the prices. Portions are generally small and the desserts were fairly average. We had the pesto sandwich and the 'French toast', which was nothing like French toast - more like a French stick piece of bread topped with fruit. Dessert was chocolate brownie with ice cream and the chocolate alfajor. The location, restaurant setting, and service are excellent.

Great place to hang out, even if just for drinks and desert.
Highly recommend.
Pros: Variety , Vegan deserts , Lots of unique drinks

Overall good but pricey - Edit
They had a lot of vegan options for food and drink that we have not been able to find anywhere else in La Paz.
Read moreThe food and drinks were delicious.
Only downside is that it's pricey compared to other options. Worth a try if you want something that you can't normally find.

Amazing vegan options and great atmosphere - Edit
Went here multiple times, probably our fav place in La Paz. We had the scrambled tofu bruschetta and vegan pancakes. To drink we had one of the green juices and a cappuccino eith almond milk. Super good and friendly staff.

Amazing, vital cuisine - Edit
We looooved the food at Biofilia. They have a lot of vegan options from snacks, starters, mains to desserts as well as many different coffee varieties and smoothies. The way they decorate the plates was absolutely beautiful and it's obvious that they put a lot of love and thought into all their dishes. We also really liked that they add many healthy ingredients to their dishes such as microgreens and sprouts. We highly recommend visiting this great place while being in La Paz.

Lifesaver in La Paz - Edit
We had some poor vegan food in La Paz but this place was was the total opposite. The decor and overall atmosphere of the cafe was so welcoming. The staff were kind and eager to explain each dish we had. Everyone seems to take pride in the cafe and food that they serve.
Read moreWe had the open pesto sandwich, bruschetta with scrambled tofu, banana muffin and lemon meringue slice. All the food was fresh and full of flavour. The raw lemon meringue slice was something we wouldn’t normally order that ended up being our favourite.
We just wished we had more time in La Paz to sample all the desserts!
Pros: Incredible vegan deserts , Super clean and , Excellent, attentive staff
Cons: Expensive compared to other Bolivian cafes

Pretty good but hard to eat sandwiches - Edit
We had the Sandwich de Pesto Botánica which was quite good, but arranged in a way which made it hard to eat without all the content tipping over. The service was quite slow, but they were very service minded none the less. The tart dessert was also good. Everything is on the pricey end, though.
