Wee disappointing (for vegans)

If you are vegan, don't visit.

They have one item on the menu, but seemed disinterested in serving it.

We were a group of 8 people, 2 of us vegans. Everyone ordered their stuff. When asked about the dumplings, they said they didn't serve those at the moment. We asked if they could make us something else. Instead of consulting the chef she just asked us what kind of food we wanted and said the famous line "maybe some salad?".

We convinced (!) her - she would rather not have done it - to talk with the chef about some sort of vegan meal.

After a while she came back and suddenly they DID have the dumplings. Very odd.

And let's just say; the dumplings were.... Well some sort of meal. Just don't go there unless you don't have other options.

Pros: Very cozy interior, we loved that!, They have kvass! Cheap

Cons: Unfriendly, No vegan stuff

Only one vegan option

After reading the description of the business on Happy Cow, I asked about the buckwheat/mushroom pancakes, and our server confirmed they are not vegan. She kindly brought the allergens sheet, which confirmed the only vegan option was the vegan meat potato dumplings. It was great to try some veganised traditional Lithuanian food, but would have been great to have more choice! The dumplings were very big, filling comfort food. Examples I think would be easy to add to the menu/veganise in the future are borscht soup and pancakes. Could look to the abundant vegan cafes in Warsaw for inspiration too!

Pros: Had a clearly labelled vegan option, Helpful staff, Cute, traditional decor

Cons: Would have liked more choice, The vegan option is a bit heavy/stodgy
