Beers and Vegan Food- what more could you ask for?

I had the yellow curry bowl and it was delicious. It was made of seasonal veggies in a dense creamy sauce with salty tofu and rice. I was stuffed afterwards (I did eat a lot of my partner’s fries too). I wish there were more vegan options or a note on the menu for what items could be modified. I just picked one of the three dishes that were marked vegan on the menu- curry, cauliflower tacos, or gnocchi. Always love the beers from here!

Beautiful location

Set on a gravel road at the top of a hill in rural Vermont, you’d never expect to find a brew pub much less an all-vegetarian one. A really beautifully scenic spot. The inside seating is small but comfortable with indoor and covered porch options. Friendly leashed dogs are welcome. The beer was good. I do wish they had more vegan food options but still a nice find. I’ll definitely be back!

100% awesome for vegans/vegetarians

What I appreciate the most about Bent Hill Brewery is that the food caters to vegetarians and vegans - totally meatless. The amazing selection of craft brews is phenomenal. I'm not normally a beer drinker, but these guys have won me over. They offer a sampler size for the brews. And, trust me, it's so cool to pick 4 or 5 and sit down with them all lined up on your table. There are brews you just won't find anywhere, and would never think would go well in a beer...but it's so fun to just try them all. Some make your mouth pucker, some elevate the hops meter, and others go down so smoothly you'll be ready for another in no time. Although the menu is small, it's so meticulously prepared, consistent, and will treat your taste buds like nothing else. The two vegan offerings I enjoy the most are the curry bowl (even good in the summer), and the buffalo cauliflower tacos (topped with an amazing pineapple salsa). The service is quick, the staff are friendly, and the open kitchen plan helps you feel part of the experience. Now, the views...totally make the trip worth it. The windy back roads are a bit of a pain but what waits for you is 100% worth it. The seating area is split in several areas, with a dog-friendly patio portion too. All the seating has wide open windows to enjoy the rolling mountain views. They take such good care of their yard and you feel like family visiting when you're there. I also posted a review for their sister business - Wee Bird Bagel Cafe. Also 100% vegetarian with many vegan options. Treat yourself and make the trip to visit both!

Pros: Scenery/ambiance, Food quality, Pricing very fair

Yummy Veggies

This restaurant may be in the middle of nowhere but it is worth the drive. I tried several menu options from food to drinks and all of them were quite tasty!

Must make the stop

Like previous reviews this place is a little out of the way but well worth it. Best cauliflower tacos I’ve ever had! The curry bowl was excellent. Someone went to culinary school and developed an excellent menu. Beautiful scenery and a good staff make this place a 5 start lunch spot.

Good food, good beer in the middle of nowhere

All-vegetarian food, rural Vermont countryside location, nice atmosphere, and terrific home-brewed beer selection. The falafel salad, minus feta, on a bed of greens with marinated tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, and lemon tahini vinaigrette was an excellent vegan choice. As we approached the location on an unpaved road in rural Vermont, we could hardly believe there was a HappyCow-listed restaurant. No traffic, only farms and forest. Spouse was highly skeptical. Sure enough, Bent Hill Brewery exists — a place whose attractive modern architecture, veg menu, and excellent brews you'd expect much closer to civilization.

Pros: Imaginative and tasty veg food, Terrific beer, Very nice dining space

Fantastic vegetarian fare

A wonderful brewery at the end of the road with an all vegetarian menu and great beer. Not to be missed, worth a special trip.
