Ben's Cuisine, formerly Green Vegan - Edit
Asian restaurant which was formerly called 'Green Vegan'. With the new name 'Ben’s Cuisine' came a change of concept and they are selling dishes with meat now (sadly 😩).
Read moreNevertheless there are still plenty vegan options which are all very tasty. They have a great selection of starters, soups, main dishes and desserts.
Apart from the concept, the quality of food remains the same allthough one wonders how seriously they take the vegan concept.

I'm confused - Edit
There is no vegan restaurant called Green Vegan. Its called Ben's Cuisine and they do sell meat too. They have large vegan sections on the menu though. And the food was good, especially the summer rolls and the vegan duck my friend had.

The only negative point is the packaging for take-away. Everything is plastic and i miss the thought for the Environment.

Ich war an einem Mittwochmittag dort. Es war nicht voll.
Read moreDie Bedienung kam nicht, weshalb ich das Menü selbst drinnen geholt habe. Ich bin zweimal reingelaufen, um zu fragen, ob ich bestellen kann und habe es beim zweiten Mal gemacht (auch zugeschaut, wie die Person die Zahlen eingetippt hat). Einige Minuten später kam der andere Kellner heraus, um uns zu sagen, dass die Bedienung drin unsere Bestellung nicht aufgenommen hat und wir mussten es wiederholen. Das Essen hat weitere Zeit auf sich warten lassen und etwa nach 45 Minuten bis einer Stunde hatten wir unser Essen. Das wäre normalerweise akzeptabel, wenn es wirklich voll ist. Aber es war nicht voll.
Außerdem wurde uns ein Getränk hingestellt, welches wir gar nicht bestellt hatten. Der Kellner war schneller weg, als das ich etwas hätte sagen können. Es stand am Ende jedoch nichts auf der Rechnung, vielleicht musste eine andere Person dafür doppelt solange auf ihr bestelltes Getränk warten.
Das Essen selbst war lecker und preislich fair. Die Auswahl war auch relativ gut! Aber nichts, wofür es sich explizit lohnt nochmal herzukommen. Der Service leider ein Chaos und trotz der wenigen Gäst*innen sehr langsam bis nicht existent.
Da die anderen aber alle durchweg positive Bewertungen geschrieben haben, gehe ich davon aus, dass es vielleicht Qualitätsunterschiede in der Bedienung je nach Tageszeit und Tag gibt.

Ich komme wieder - Edit
Reichlich Auswahl von verschiedenen Gerichten. Ich tat mich schwer mich zu entscheiden, da sich die ganze Karte sehr lecker anhört. Meine Bestellung schmeckt sehr gut. Ich muss definitiv wieder kommen.

Tolles Restaurant - Edit
Das Essen bei Green Vegan ist sehr lecker. Ich habe schon vieles von der Speisekarte probiert kann besonders die Vorspeiseplatte, die Suppen und Nudelgerichte empfehlen. Auch der Mangolassi ist ein Traum. Das Personal ist zuvorkommend, aufmerksam und freundlich. Ich fühle mich dort wohl und komme gern immer wieder.

This place is literally across the street from where I’m staying. They are mostly vegan with the exception of honey in drinks, as previously mentioned in a former review. Even though we arrived in the evening during opening hours, they closed the kitchen early and offered us the option of takeaway. We didn’t mind and happily accepted, but it means that we received takeaway containers and plastic bags, so it wasn’t the most environmental option.
Read moreThe food was delicious. We took few orders of gyoza and 2 soups. The apps are mostly 5.5€ each. Some of their items are spicy 🌶️ and don’t say, so be sure to ask. It still irks me a bit that the place is called Green Vegan and isn’t fully vegan because of the drinks. It’s not outright misleading, but I was shocked to see honey on the menu and it did make me wonder if they use honey as an ingredient in other things without saying. Just make sure to ask.

Ah, absolutely not a fan of spots with „vegan“ in the name, but aren’t fully vegan! There is a franchise concept - „Veganland“ in the south of Germany, which also has vegetarian ingredients 😌

I went here for dinner with a friend. We arrived at 7:15 pm on a Friday and the medium-sized restaurant was nearly full.
Read moreThe interior design was pretty dark and minimalistic. The primary colors were brown and black. It felt a bit cozy and laidback but nothing special. The toilet was completely white and extremely boring.
There was a good amount of dishes in the menu. The only thing not vegan to me seemed to be the honey used for some of the tea.
My friend and I decided to share #10, Dau Com (5,50€) - fried tofu sticks with a sweet and sour sauce - and I ordered #45, Cari - rice with tofu and vegetables in a spicy curry sauce - with vegan duck (13,90€) as my main. The Dau Com was absolutely delicious. The combination of crunchy crust, smooth tofu inside and delicious sweet and sour sauce was amazing. When my main dish arrived it was the wrong dish! Instead of my Cari I got #43, Banh Canh Hap - udon noodles with tofu and vegetables. I told the waitress it was the wrong dish and she showed me her note saying #43. I'm not sure why she wrote #43 when I ordered #45. Maybe she misheard me. I was a bit disappointed about this but decided to just go with it. In the end it tasted well. The duck was amazing, I'd definitely recommend getting it.
I enjoyed my visit at Green Vegan but will probably not go out of my way to visit it again. Even though it would be nice to try the Cari!
