Terrible Experience - Edit
I feel bad writing this review because the family who runs the restaurant was very nice. First of all, the restaurant is no longer fully vegan. It is now called Beilu. All the food comes out of packages that you can get at the grocery store that is heated in air fryers. The rice in the Asian salad was severely undercooked.

They have changed their name and are NOT a vegan restaurant anymore, they do still have quite some vegan options. I had a mushroom burger and it was alright.

Went here for a quick bite and was not disappointed.

Had a burger and a couple of appetizers, good taste on all of it.
Some of the appetizers are in portions of sharing, others are a bit of single bite.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
The outside seating are is nice, but a bit limited in space/size.

We asked for the burgers in a dish and we felt disappointed. The salads are nothing special (most of the ingredients are not fresh), too much sauce over the burger and the fries were mushy. Maybe the burgers with bread are better. Not sure if we will give a second chance.

What a gem - Edit
Our tour to Sintra stopped in Cascais on our way back to Lisbon. We thought we would be stuck without anything to eat except for maybe some potatoes.

The restaurant is just a little bit outside of the tourist area near the beach, which we were glad to get away from all of that.
They have some different house made burger, a few salads and some nice appetizers.
The food was very good and obviously made with care. Nothing here is premade/processed. It’s all made there, which is a nice diversion from the typical beyond burger.
The service was very nice too.
We sat outside, but they have tables inside and it’s a nice casual atmosphere.
They also have juice, wine and beer.
I would highly recommend this place if you’re in town. I think a lot of tour busses stop here, so if you’re vegan, don’t fear, you can get a good lunch here. If you’re staying for longer, then have a few meals here.
Also, the gelato is amazing.

We ate at Tanah for a late lunch. It was mostly empty, but we were in between normal meal times. It's a quieter spot off of a side street but not far from the main plazas. The restroom is the cleanest we encountered on our trip. Staff were friendly and easy to communicate with in English.
Read moreIt's a casual eatery with a café feel. We seated ourselves and were served at our table. The menu had four sandwiches, two filling salads, some snacks, desserts, and drinks. Food was served on personal bamboo trays.
We had the mushroom burger (delicious!), beet burger (a bit gluey and bland), and the mushroom burger as combo platters with the salads (bun not included). Both the burgers and combination plates came with a choice of green salad or sweet potato chips. The salads were nice and flavorful. Portions were appropriate - we were satisfied but able to clear our plates.

O restaurante que faltava em Cascais 🤍 Dos vários burgers pedi o maior, o Double Mush, que é de cogumelos. Adorei-o, é suculento e não se desfaz como acontece muitas vezes com burgers de legumes. Muito saboroso e o molho verde é só a melhor coisa do mundo. Para encerrar com chave de ouro pedi uns pastéis de nata que estavam igualmente deliciosos. Recomendo um milhão por cento 🥰

We ate vegan Portuguese custard tarts (Pastel de Natas), Coxinha de Java (Brazilian snack food) and Almodegas de Cogumelos. Really amazing all of it. Super cheap. The staff were really friendly. Very happy with it. Hopefully we'll come back and try some lovely mains too!

The mush burger was gorgeous, highly recommend and also the salada Bali was a very nice lunch time meal. We also had pastel de Nata, brownie and açai bowl. All very good desserts. I would definitely go again.

Too pricey for what you get - Edit
We got a Mush Burger and the Tanah salad. The food was fresh and tasty but 18 euros for an ordinary veggie burger (with no veggies in it by the way) and a salad is definitely too much. Portions need to be bigger or dishes more elaborate to justify such bill. Staff was friendly and polite and the place looked very clean.

I’m frankly tired of fake meat and Tanah has burger options made from real foods! The sauces were also delicious. The side salad could use a bit more attention. BUT oh my the Coxinha de Jaca makes up for anything. They are so delicious.

I ate the Not Dog. It was really tasty. Sadly I couldn't order the lemonade with strawberry ( I guess they were out of strawberries). So I ordered the normal lemonade. I was very sour. So I didn't like my drink, but I am also sure they serve good drinks.

Cutest cafe with really nice food - Edit
We stumbled across this little restaurant by accident and decided to get some food. We had the açai bowl, the Coxinha and the Pasteis de Nata and everything was amazing! The açai tastes just like the one you can find in Brazil. And the people running the restaurant, Brazilians themselves, are super sweet and friendly. Highly recommend :)!
