Really nice

Very friendly helpful staff. Most pens on the menu are or can be made vegan. Really enjoyed what we ate. Lovely place to sit and watch the happenings in the city square.

Nice Variety

For some reason this place doesn't show up on the Happy Cow map, so I stumbled up on it when searching for "falafel" in google maps. We had a bahn-mi style sandwich (very nice) and a salad of grilled veggies (not as exciting). We also had a soup that was very nice--zucchini with olives and popcorn garnish. There were falafel sandwiches too, but we didn't opt for those as they can be had anywhere.

The place is located in a big square and good for people-watching in nice weather. All of the above plus a beer and a large, fresh green juice was 44 euros, before tip (about $50 at today's rate). So not cheap, but a lot of food and good quality in a place with scarce options.

Pros: Outdoor seating, Nice variety of lunch items

Cons: Moderately high pricing

Delicious food in a gorgeous square

Brilliant veg with 90% vegan or vegan options restaurant situated on a main square in old town. Staff are lovely, food was good (so many amazing burger choices) with plenty of local wine and beer.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Lovely outdoor space

tasty burger!

My burger was delicious! The sweet potato fries were different to what I'm used to in the UK but still very nice. I saw someone being served the falafel platter and it looked insane, would definitely try that next time!

Pros: location, choice

Could be improved

I always visit restaurants that are vegan/have vegan options because Im vegan and I want to support vegan businesses. I had high hopes as most of the reviews here are good but I really don't understand why. I thought it was pretty average and I wouldn't go back if I was in Luxembourg again and here's why...

I had the aubergine burger and until the pesto had soaked in it was pretty dry and well just kind of bland and unadventurous. I don't even know why it's called an aubergine burger, maybe because it had two slices of dry shrivelled aubergine? How about marinading it? Add some sun dried tomatoes? I don't know, just give it some flavour. My partner had the cheesy burger, there was so much mayo I couldn't personally taste the cheese. The two burgers were the same (possibly from frozen) patties just with different fillings.

Chips are good and the salad dressing that came with the lettuce leaves was good. Sauces served with the chips were good too. These all come with the burgers as standard.

There's just no real atmosphere to speak of. Not a picture of the wall, Edison bulbs look cool yes but it's just lacking warmth.

Service was average. I stood in the entrance waiting to be seated, the staff clearly saw me but carried on their conversation.

One waitress was working and pretty run off her feet (a guy helped to deliver food but she seemed to take every order). It took 10 minutes to get a drinks order though once the order was taken drinks and food were relatively quick to follow. No good byes.

Price - it's ok. 30Euros for two burgers which are served with chips and salad, 2 beers and Thai tea infusion. I read before hand about the portion size being good but Id personally settle for smaller portions with more flavour. So, because it wasn't a particularly good meal I'd say it wasn't worth the money.

Pros: Salad and chips that come with the burger

Cons: Dry, tasteless, Lacking atmosphere

A good experience

We ate at beets in June at night. The service was very good and the waiters knowledgeable about what was in the food.

We ordered a burger and a falafel plate. Both of which were copious and very good.

The restaurant in itself is well located within the historic center of Luxembourg and looks very modern and clean.

Pros: Good food, Decent choice of vegan options, Nice location

Cons: Not a lot of seating inside

Really good, Nice staff

We stayed for 2 days in Luxembourg and ate here twice. We had the Beet burger and fries. The burgers were really delicious! Not to complicated but very tasty. I think the best vegan burger i've had. As a dessert we had the chocolat moelleux and the citrus tart. Especially the (warm) chocolate dessert was really amazing! Soy cappuccino and different juices were really great too.
The staff is really friendly and helpfull. Plenty of room to sit, also with kids. Toilet has a changing table for baby's.
Most of the items on the menu are vegan or either able to be made vegan.
It's not cheap but not expensive either. You get pretty big portions so I think the prices are fine.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Friendly staff

Solid burger and fries

This place is what it is. It's a burger place, nothing more, but I found the burgers tasty and the fries were hand cut and well made. Nothing spectacular here, but it's well located and definitely worth visiting. In short, it's a good option, but nothing stood out as spectacular.

Minimal but Tasty

I actually really loved Beet. I had the classic 'Beet' burger, which didn't contain any beetroot to my surprise but it was still tasty. We also got chips to share (the portion of chips was massive, you need about a quarter per person so keep that in mind when ordering) and I had a lemon cupcake for dessert which was also very delicious.

The restaurant itself was very clean and minimal. It was busy too, I arrived at around 12am and the majority of customers were sat outside. I can imagine it gets much busier around tea time. Unfortunately it is expensive but the food was good so I think it's worth it.

Pros: Tasty food, Clean

Cons: expensive, busy

Nice but quite expensive

We are french. We spent a day in Luxemboug, and the only vegetarian restauant open was the Beet.
We tried it with pleasure.

It was full, so we stayed outside (it was quite cold -october- but the neigbourhood was animated).

We had the choice between a brunch or the menu.
Many burgers, somes salads and falafels.

We went for burgers -with vegan options-.
To get a burger with french fries and green salad, you have to pay around 14euros.

Compared to similar restaurants (in France and UK) it's expensive. Burgers are cold, and presentation is inexistant (the burger is in the middle of a plate, that's it).

They have good ideas though, and the waitress was very nice.

________________________________

Pros: vegan options

Cons: expensive

Fresh, clean, simple

We visited Beet twice during our stay in Luxembourg and loved it. Menu range is limited but what they do is executed very well. Had both the falafel pitta and a burger, both excellent with great fries. Dessert was vegan "moelleux au chocolat" with coconut sorbet which was absolutely divine. The owner was very happy to chat about what they did and we were made very welcome.

Pros: Simple, good, food, Bright, contemporary surroundings, Friendly service, Central location

Good food, good vibe, great location.

Been to Beet a couple of times during my stay in Luxembourg city.

The food is nothing spectacular (burgers or falafels); but it tastes good!

Plenty of vegan options for dining; but only one vegan dessert (at least at the moment of writing this review).
In any case, the dessert (mango ice-cream with a curry foam) was great, so I highly recommend it.

Location is great, right in Place Guillaume II; and plenty of space inside and in the 'smoking' terrace (although making a reservation wouldn't hurt).

Update (28/02/2016): They now offer many vegan desserts; and the parts of the menu that can be made vegan are clearly indicated. However, by default the burgers and falafels are vegetarian so do not forget to indicate you want a vegan one! If only it was the opposite...

Pros: great location, good value, great vibe

Cons: need to explicitly request vegan food, smoking is possible in the terrace

Nice veggie place :)

Nice little veggie restaurant in the middle of the city centre. Personnel was very friendly. I had the vegan burger with avocado which was good. I got french fries (with vegan mayonaise) and salad with that. Like someone else already mentioned there is only one vegan dessert, but it was a very interesting and tasty one. :) All in all a nice place for a quick bite.

Pros: Very friendly personnel , Price , Location

Cons: Only one vegan dessert

pleasant

In this hip establishment, you can, like I just did, eat a fairly good vegan burger, with side salad and home-made fries, with a smoothie and a coffee, for 22€. Given the relative lack of vegan alternatives in Luxembourg, I recommend BEET.
