Serves meat, vegan options available. A burger place, yet as of Aug 2020, within this small town, it is the only place where vegans can eat a real dish - not just a cheese-less pizza or French fries. There is a grilled tofu & grilled vegetables main dish (sauce on the side most probably contains milk). Vegans can also have a chickpea salad as a starter and couscous with vegetables as a side dish. Open Mon-Sat 11:00-23:00. Closed Sun.

Exceptional place at the lake Balaton from a vegan perspective

In small places at the Lake Balaton like Balatonszemes, it is very hard to find decent vegan food. Beata offers few, but delicious vegan dishes: grilled tofu and grilled vegetables (though the sauce on the side is not vegan), chickpea salad and couscous with vegetables. My partner and I tried all of these, the couscous was too salty, but the other 2 were very good. In addition, the service was excellent, the waiter was nice and polite.
