Delicious - Edit
I was so impressed with the veggie offerings here! The menu is extensive, and each dish I had was delicious. Good for anyone, and a good place to try Thai dishes specific to this region!

Great vegetarian and vegan food - Edit
Best place for vegetarian and vegan (and even gluten-free) options in Chiang Rai, open in the evening (but closed on Saturdays it seems). All freshly prepared and utterly delicious. Particularly the Khao Soi.

I had the super pad Thai vegetarian. Huge portion and it was very tasty. One of the best I've had. Nice restaurant, plenty of seating.

Average food, great waitress - Edit
The food here was fine- nothing overly special or surprising. What was a wonderful surprise of the visit was the waitress who, when we told her we were vegan, explained each and every vegan item- going into detail about spiciness or oiliness.

If in Chiang Rai - Edit
Nice food, friendly & helpful owner, great location right next to the singing clock tower so you can check it out before/after dinner at 7, 8, or 9pm. Bonus: also has a bao store two doors down that sells vegan baos!!!

amazing and crazy delicious place - Edit
we LOVED barrab. Super nice owner and the food was some of the best in thailand. Our favourites were the khao soy and the pad thai but everything we tried was super and unique.

big plate - Edit
Not a strictly veg place but they know the difference between vegan and vegetarian. They will make anything you like vegan style if its possible.
Read moreThey speak English very well, too.
The food was good, portions were large, but it didn't have me erking to return. The tea was excellent.
Worth checking out.
Looks like a popular spot for expats.

Easy vegan in a tough city... - Edit
Chiang Rai isn't the easiest city to find vegan food. People don't speak much English, restaurants close early, and there aren't a million options in town. This place is open later, the staff understand English and knows what vegan is, and the menu is clearly marked. The food is good too.

fantastic - Edit
A great place! There was a queue outside and we thought,'Can this really be worth it?' It was. The waitress was super helpful about which dishes could be veganised - there were loads!- and the food was phenomenally tasty. A great place for a filing meal!
