great value

With two great multi-course menu options, you can eat well here for a good price. A 5 course vegan tasting menu (with croquettes - loving croquettes here in Spain when I kind have vegan ones!) for 15EUpp and a 3 course lunch menu for EU9.95 - this is a great place to eat.

Cons: cake sadly a little dry - but the custard style pu

Great vegan food

This was the first vegan-friendly place we went in Seville, and it didn't disappoint. Lots of the tables were reserved even at lunchtime so may be popular locally. A small, friendly, down to earth restaurant specialising in organic and veggie food. Daily specials are available, we had the paella and some macadamia nut croquettes, both really tasty. Simple, well cooked food. Good craft beer selection. Try the croquettes! We were disappointed we didn't have time to go back to try the evening menu.

Pros: Simple but great tasting, Lots of vegan options, Nice friendly staff

Cons: None really

Great find

Excellent three-course lunch here (found it accidentally while looking for the bus station). Highly recommend to find it deliberately!

delicious vegan food!

This place is great! All vege or vegan but about 60% or more is vegan with lots of options. Plus, lots of vegan deserts and everything is very clearly labelled too! A great find for veges or vegans in Seville! Delicious!

Good food

Overall I will say I was pleased I had lunch here. I am so glad there even are vegetarian restaurants in the city.
There was a bit of a langugage barrier for me as a non-spanish speaker but the friendly staff and I managed to work out my order.
The food was affordable as I got one of the aforementioned daily menus consisting of a starter, a main course and a dessert for about €10. They have a decent beverage menu as well.
One con was it was a bit noisy inside the restaurant. But overall it's worth a visit.

The food was ok, beetroot soup excellent, but the rest was only ok. The burger was microwaved not fried. I gave it another go today and even though the place was empty at lunchtime they would not serve me and i slammed the door like a teenager. The whole restreraunt is messy and colourless. I would not go next time I am in Seville. Updated from previous review on Saturday February 20, 2016

SO sorry, the waiters changed often, cause most of them are university students, perhaps this day you don't see much people but it isn't usually, in Seville most people eat later. Sorry again we try to do the best way each moment.

Good food

From other reviews we were looking forward to our visit here, unfortunately we were a bit disappointed when we left. The food was nice and of reasonable value though some things seemed to be a bit pricey, it also took a very long time to get our food. The thing that really let the place down was the waitress, the whole time we were there she acted as if we were an annoyance and that she did not want us there. There were only three couples in the restaurant at the time and it was the same treatment for all of us. Due to this we decided we would not return here during our vist.

Pros: nice food

Cons: long time to get food

Absolutely amazing!

The waiter was extremely helpful in translating the menu items we didn't understand.

The inside temperature was nice and cool on a typical August day in Sevilla.

Coffee was delicious, with choices for types of milk.

My husband started with the miso soup and loved it. I did have a taste and agreed with him that is was delicious.

The portions were extremely generous. The food was full of flavor and was not salty.

We had room left for dessert. It was a delicious welcome back to Spain for us.

Pros: variety, friendly and helpful staff, Delicioso!

must-go for vegans and vegetarians

Good food in good quality and in good portions they serve here. The price for a menu at lunchtime is really good and besides it's a nice, quiet place. Most of it are Spanish dishes which are modified like Paella or Salmorejo. But they do it in their unique way I've not seen so far in Spain.

Pros: no meat or fish, delicious, good value

The best in Sevilla

My favorite in Sevilla !
If you are vegetarian/vegan in spain it's difficult to not eating only tapas. There you can get a menu for 10€ (starter, main dish, dessert) and their dishes are delicious, fresh and organic. You also have a Gluten Free option. I highly recommend the gazpacho, the paella and the entire menu.
They also have a shop near the restaurant, we found all we need for our vacations.

Pros: Inexpensive menu, Healthy and organic, Big portions

Very good and nice !

You can get a menu for about 10euros at midday: starter, main course and dessert. For the dinner, it's a bit more but reasonable.
Very good "gaspacho andalous". The room is quiet. To be known. After, don't hesitate to make some purchase in the grocery next door because there's not a lot of choice in Sevilla. They have fresh fruits, vegetables, bread and all you can get in organic and vegan food !

Pros: very good

Fantastic Veggie food

Very nice restaurant with moderate prices.
We enjoyed our lunch here (3 times in a week). There was a lunch-menu: about 10 Euro for a starter, a main dish, and a dessert. There were five options for each course - almost all were vegan. The food was plentiful and satisfying.

Pros: Food, staff, English menu

Cons: Service may be slow when busy

I'm In Love !

A beautiful wide choice in veggie, vegan and gluten free.
Organic food. Recycled equipments. They also paid a lot of attention to the drinks. Lot's of yogi tea's, bionade's and other organic beverages.

And the food was heavenly delicious. I couldn't finish my dish, so I got to take it home with me.
The restaurant has a nice environment and the sweetest waitress in Spain. We couldn't understand each other because of our different languages, but she really took the time to understand us or her.

Pros: Food, Friendly Staff, Lovely Environment

not impressed

I had very mediocre food and absolutely terrible service here. I ordered the lunch selection and had gazpacho, "hamburger", and chocolate cake. The gazpacho was great, the "hamburger" was two quinoa patties and sautéed veggies - if the patties had any flavor at all I could only call it "cardboard". After waiting ~30 minutes for the dessert to arrive (yes, we waived to the waitress many times throughout that time but she seemed to forget we existed) the cake arrived and it was dry and disgusting, I didn't even finish it. I'm very disappointed overall and I don't think I would return if I lived here.

Best vegan option in Sevilla

This is the only entirely vegetarian restaurant in Sevilla. More than half the menu is vegan. We ate here three times and enjoyed every meal. The menu del dia for lunch was a good deal with several options to choose from. The food is healthy but tasty...nothing too fancy but good quality food that you can feel good about eating. Examples include chickpea stew, rice with veggies, falafel, salads, and hummus. The desserts were tasty without being too sweet and heavy. We were given a free tapa with dinner but both times it was not vegan, so be sure to tell them you're vegan up front. Otherwise, the menu items are clearly marked as vegan. The service was good. No one there seemed to speak much English, but they were friendly and put up with our Spanglish. If you go for lunch, get there by 2 otherwise it might be full.

Pros: good healthy food, lots of vegan options

Good restaurant, 100% veg

We had dinner here once during our holiday. We were very happy to have so many healthy options on the menu! For starters we had two kinds of hummus, that were fine but not very special, and a miso bulgur soup, in which we couldn't detect the miso. And for mains vegetarian 'albondigas' and pilaf of bulgur. The albondigas were fine, but lacked in spices. The pilaf was really good, enjoyed it a lot!

Love this place!

I've been here several of times with my two friends who are vegetarian (I'm vegan). The food is a little pricey, but it's worth it. Everything here is vegetarian, with a lot of clearly labeled vegan options. The food is excellent, portion sizes are big, and you get a small free appetizer (usually bread with some kind of dip). There are even a few vegan dessert options, which is always a plus! The same waitress is always there when we go, and she's super sweet.

Pros: excellent food, friendly waitress, good atmosphere

Cons: the price could be a little cheaper

Delicious!

I came to Gaia after a long trip with a grumbling tummy and I was not disappointed! I opted for the three course lunch menu which was great value. I must admit that the vegan chocolate cake wasn't for me but the bulgar salad starter and tofu & veg main were delicious (and huge!).

Pros: Great value, Big portions

Cons: Evening menu looked pricey

Very good restaurant

I went there a lot of months ago, and I liked it but not too much because I considered there were not many options for vegans and was a bit expensive. But a several days ago me and my wife went back there and the sensation was really different. Price is the same, a bit expensive for Sevilla, but they have change the menu and have many more vegan options. All dishes we ate were really good & well prepared. We will repeat at least once a month.

Pros: More vegan options now, well prepared organic food, kind staff

Cons: a bit expensive

100% veg

We ate here twice during our stay in Seville. Both times we had the lunch time menu (menu del dia) for 9,95 (three courses, but excluding drinks). The food was fine though not great. The beetroot salmorejo (a thick cold soup) was excellent though.

We found the portions not entirely satisfying: very generous first course (like the soup), and a smallish second course, followed by a filling dessert (or tea if you prefer).

In summary: great to find a completely vegetarian place in Sevilla, where life is not easy if you do not want to eat meat or fish; the food is fine.

Very good vegetarian restaurant in Sevilla

I had dinner at Gaia a couple of weeks ago with three non-vegetarian friends. At the end, we were all satisfied by the food, portions are generous, taste is good.

As for cakes, I think that the vegan chocolate cake could have been served with some kind og yogurt/cream, it was a bit dry... but good. Having it with some tea is probably the best thing to do.

Prices: slightly more expensive than the standard tapas bar in Sevilla, but everything is not only vegetarian, but also organic, therefore it is definitively worth it!

Pros: Good (organic) food, Friendly staff, Central location

Muy buena cocina !!

Ambiente agradable y bien cuidado.

Awesome

We enjoyed our visit to Bar Ecologico Gaia:

- The place serves 100% organic veg food
- Vegan dishes or vegan option is indicated in the menu.
- Taste and quantity was good.
- Value: correct, considering that everything is organic.

Update: in my last visit we had lunch here and the indian dishes in the menu were really plain, not spicy at all.

Pros: Organic, Taste, Staff

Cons: None

A good option for a meal in Seville

I did enjoy everything about Gaia! I liked the food, staff were very, very friendly!! The decoration and environment are very enjoyable and we had a nice quite lunch there! It was, as well, the only veggie we found after a long search (although I don't remember now which ones we searched before ending here). But for us it was o good that we even went for a take away dinner cos we had a night bus! The waiter was very nice and even offered us some tapas with the beer we had while waiting for the food to be ready!
A bit pricey though!!!
We didn't visit the shop so I can't give any opinion on that!

Pros: Great food, Nice, cool staff, Lovely decoration

Cons: Pricey
