You must have a banh in Vientam - Edit
This tiny place is run by Vegan family. Banhs are super tasty, as well as spring rolls and other things. It's all freshly made so you need to wait a few minutes. They have a lovely daughter, about 10 y.o. who speaks good English and loves practicing it with customers while they are waiting for their food. Definitely worth visiting and trying banh as all from the street food are usually with meat and eggs.

Cheap Tasty Eats - Edit
Vegan Banh Mi is a tiny place down an alley in central Hanoi. It is a little hard to find, but is an interesting experience. It has a small menu with two types of Banh Mi, samosas, and spring rolls. The food is very inexpensive at 20,000 dong for a sandwich. The food is tasty, and is a nice place for a quick lunch. Definitely give it a try.

Tasty and cheap - Edit
This place is not easy to find - it's in a little alleyway. It's nothing fancy, just a few small chairs and tables but the food is lovely. I was very excited about getting a vegan bahn mi, but I think I actually liked the Vietnamese samosa-style thing and the dessert even better. This is authentic Vietnamese street food, but all vegan, so not to be missed if you're in Hoàn Kiếm area. The staff understands a little bit of English and the menus are in English too. I had two sandwiches, a samosas and a pudding for 68,000 dong. I think I'll be coming back!

fully vegan banh mi place, worth trying out - Edit
Banh Mi Chay is a fully vegan (!) place where you can get good Banh Mi (not the best I've had, though) for an amazing price. Dessert is delicious and cheap as well. Sometimes, they have other dishes, but unfortunately not while we were there.
Read moreEverything is freshly made (which takes time!) and the ingredients seemed good to us. It was not too oily and salty, although there could have been less of it.
Pros: all vegan place for Banh Mi, dessert 3, super cheap
Cons: not the best Banh Mi ever, staff didn't speak english

Perfect Ha Noi street food - Edit
This little hideaway is worth the venture. Big yellow signs advertising vegan bahn mi will help you find the entrance, then just walk down the narrow alleyway where you'll be directed into a small dining area. The food is quick, flavoursome and DELICIOUS. And so ridiculously cheap! You'll want to visit this one while you're in Ha Noi.

So nice :) - Edit
It is a bit hard to find, so a better sign outside would be great for foreigners but when we found it we were happy. It’s all vegan and really simple dishes like Banh My and Samosas and it was really delicious. The best food often is the simple food. Cheap and yummy!

Vegan Street Food - Edit
This place was a little hard to find but the owner must have noticed the lost vegan Aussie’s and showed us down the alley. We had a bit of everything- spring rolls, banh goi, both types of bahn mi and a dessert. All were delicious and super cheap,

just order everything - Edit
Following the advice of many, we just ordered everything on the menu here. Really Tasty banh mi, spring Rolls and samosas. Also very cheap, but they did raise the price to 20k for banh mi in June. Recommended for a quick tasty and authentic lunch or snack

soo good! - Edit
When you get to where the map takes you too there was an empty food cart but if you go down the alley there is an an chay sign and this is where it is. The banh mi was delicious. Fellow nut allergy sufferers be aware the pate does usually have peanut butter in, luckily when I was there they had run out while making this batch so I got to taste it. I'm so pleased as the pate was so good and really made the banh mi what it was. They make their own vegan mayo with garlic and herbs and it iS DELICIOUS! we spoke to a (soon to be) family member who said they are constantly adapting the recipes to improve them.

Incredible banh mi and desserts - Edit
This small eatery is tucked in an alleyway and super low-key. They have coconut milk with bean-based sweets, spring rolls, Vietnamese samosa and banh mi. The banh mi is absolutely incredible! The homemade sauce, the veggies, everything! It's a must try! The Banh mi is, as other reviewers have said, 15,000 VND and desserts are 10,000 VND. Highly recommended!
Read moreUPDATE: As of June 25th Banh mi is now 20,000 VND and the recipe is different. They are no longer using the special sauce they used before and switched it up. It's an entirely different banh mi now in my opinion
