Quiet spot - Edit
Family run place with garden seating. Veggie curry was good and big portions. I knew food was going to take a while so wasn’t bothered but be prepared for a bit of a wait. Not the cheapest place on the island, especially for just vegetable dishes but not expensive.

Huge portions, delicious food - Edit
I ordered the vegetable adobo and my friend got the vegetable curry. Portions were huge and the dishes were delicious! They understand what vegan is so just let them know when you order. The menu has a whole page of vegetarian options.

Real Gem of Malapascua Island - Edit
After two long years without foreign tourists due to Cocid, the place looks a bit suffered and not appealing much by look, but I'm really happy that we gave it a chance, we had our best/fresh meals always here in Malapascua. Gemma (owner lady) is really friendly and probably the best cook on the whole island, she knows the difference between vegetarian and vegan. Expect loong food preparation duration (around an hour) as for some vegetables she collects from the garden during the preparation. Better to get her number and give the order an hour ago or schedule next time while you are eating. Gemma is very kind she even prepared take-away food for our boat trip (there are only bbq options on the boat trips) in the early morning. Pumpkin Soup is a must try, my favourite! Expect huge portions, for two people one soup, one salad (very fresh one), one side and one main is mooore than enough. Prices are better than other restaurants. Gemma promised us to include more vegetarian/vegan options in the future:)

Fresh food - Edit
Food is worth the wait. It does take a while because it is being made fresh from items in the garden. The veggie curry was one of the best I had during my stay in the Philippines

Amazing fresh food in an authentic place with a lovely owner - Edit
We knew that we would need to wait a bit for our food but I couldn’t imagine the owner was literally going to her orchard to get the fresh herbs and vegetables. It was amazing! While preparing the food she was telling us stories about the place, the country etc. It was the best dinner we had during our stay in Malapascua.

Freshest food ever - Edit
This place is amazing!!
Read moreThe owner is so kind and lovely.
They open at around 6:30pm and it would be wise to order upfront because they prepare every meal fresh and very well prepared.
After the first night we ate there every evening for dinner.
The portions are big (we ordered the salad & vegetable curry ) and we shared both and were super full (and it's pretty cheap!)
Never had such fresh onions in my entire life (and normally I don't like them in a salad) but these were so delicious.
Pros: Vegetarian/Vegan, FRESH food prepared with love

Geheimtipp - Edit
Yes it takes some time and yes its small, but this doesnt make it unapealing. The food is fresh and is prepared freshly, that why it takes some time. The chef is actualy a vegan chef. Good quality, big portions and cheap. I woulf give 5 stars!

Family place, good cheap food - Edit
No customers were here when I arrived and I felt like I’d arrived in someone’s home albeit with a few extra plastic tables and chairs set up
Read moreBut the owners were sweet and service was good albeit a little slow (but everything seems freshly made)
Warning the fried eggplant is like an omelette, not like a stir fry as I was expecting.
Pros: Freshly made , Few veggie/vegan options nice
Cons: Slow even when you’re the only one 😂

Just ok - Edit
We were the first customers in the four tabled restaurant, and it still took an hour for our food to come. Their french fries were amazing but the rest of the food was mediocre.

Best vegan homemade food - Edit
They serve very good vegan options and homemade style. The atmosphere is great, candle light, outside tables.. big portions, great price, the best option we found in the island! Highly recommend it!
