Vegan Profiterol - Edit

Nice afternoon - Edit
I came here for a sweet afternoon and found this place to be very cosy and pleasant to spend a relaxing time. There is a big variety of sweet options (hard to decide!). I had the tiramisu which was quite good (with a little more coffee it would have been perfect). The staff is kind and friendly. Next time in Istanbul I will come again :)

Worst Happy Cow Experience so far - Edit
Looking at the reviews, we had some good hopes and expectations for a nice breakfast in the Asian part of Istanbul. Unfortunately, this turned out to be the worst experience I ever had in a vegan restaurant so far.
Read moreTo begin with, we came to the restaurant/café around half an hour after it opened. We were all looking forward to order the breakfast plate; however, we were told that it was already sold out, 30 minutes after they opened.
That wasn’t a big issue, so we all ordered something else. After 20 minutes, my first friend got her dish; no one of us had received their drinks yet. 20 minutes later – our friend was already finished with her food – the second dish came; still no drinks.
When we asked for our drinks, the waitress simply told us she forgot to make them. To put this in perspective, this is a cafe with a total of four tables, so it’s quite extraordinary to forget serving a table drinks for more than half an hour.
When the waitress brought the drinks, she brought something wrong to one of my friends; when my friend said that this was not what she ordered, the waitress said that she doesn’t want to be impolite, but that she is 100% sure that this is what my friend ordered. We on the other hand were all pretty certain that this was not the truth.
Finally, after more than an hour of waiting, the last two dishes came as well.
The food unfortunately didn’t save this experience. I had the burger which was done pretty loveless: there was basically soy minced meat between to burger buns, with one slice of pickle in between. Since the minced meat “patty” was extremely juicy, it just ran out on all sides, so I couldn’t take the burger in my hand. It also didn’t taste very well.
I also tried my friends pancakes, which were pretty unspectacular as well.
Maybe we were just very unlucky with the waitress. She claimed it was her first day, even though we didn’t believe her that, since she was joking around with the kitchen staff the whole time and going for smokes on a 15 to 20 minute basis, while we were still waiting for our drinks.
But also the kitchen staff, serving our food within a time span of more than 45 minutes, was not the best. The only good thing was the coffee. They had many cakes and dessert that looked nice, but we were too disappointed after the whole experience to try any of them.
I would give one star if it was possible!
Cons: Bad service & unfriendly staff, Long waiting times, Food was not really tasty

Sweet treat - Edit
I am so so happy i stopped here. Not only have they incredible cakes to indulge in, but are also so welcoming and friendly. Thisbe a small place and they even had the traditional Turkish ayra as a rice milk drink. It’s a cute small place with some outdoor and backyard seating. The cheesecake was outstanding scrumptious. Look at the photos! No more words
