Good food, all vegan

You can eat here during lunch time, but if you can, try to avoid the time right after noon. Food is great, the service is nice and the portions are big, if you specifically ask.

Pros: Big portions, if you ask for it, Nice people, Hot sauce if you want some

Cons: Labeling is a bit off, the "paneer" is vegan, Wonderful when warm, but when it rains not so much, Prices are a bit high imho

Very good vibe but I don't like the mislabelling

The owner is a very trusting and cordial person and I liked her vegetable curry (nothing extraordinary but perfectly fine for lunch).

However I can't really condone that she labels one of the dishes "matter paneer", even though it uses tofu instead of the Indian paneer cheese - no indication it's vegan. As vegans we very much insist that our food is correctly labelled and I think everybody else is entitled to this, too. And some may not know they're fully vegan so you don't even know that this dish is vegan at this place.

Note: Cash only.

So you were cheated by expecting fraud which wasn’t. You suspected the restaurant was falsely labeled vegan but it was vegan so you feel upset? Thats twisted. If a vegan restaurant labeled stuff as sausages or chicken you wouldn’t expect them to be animal based either right?

This restaurant is not labelled as vegan anywhere I could see on site. So the "paneer" on the menu could have been actual paneer - without that being fraud. How could a casual guest know it's really tofu? Also, soy allergy is a thing.

Hidden gem

Actually the food truck isn’t called „Badawi“ and it is a bit hard to find if you don’t know what you are looking for but it is absolutely worth the hunt. The stand is right across Skillspark and has an outside seating area or take away. The owner doesn’t label any of the food because it isn’t food if it isn’t vegan according to her😉I had the dish with lupine and it was delicious, the vegan paneer with curry is very good as well.

Wholesome

It‘s more like a cemented food truck. The owner hasn‘t any labels placed because in her opinion there‘s no reason for it: as eating vegan and organic is the only worthy option. Selfmade tea is for refill.

Pros: Cool concept, Lovely little urban garden seating, Tea refill
