We tried 2 of the vegan burgers and a side of potatoes on our way to the beach. All was very tasty, fair prices, quick and friendly service, and the restaurant is super clean. Vegan items were clearly marked, which is appreciated!

Althought it is a nice place (the decoration is lit), the staff is really friendly and the food is cheap, the food is edible but I can’t say that the vegan burgers (I asked for the gran vegano) are awesome, taking into account that there are a lot of great vegetarian/vegan - serving restaurants in that area.

Share a meal with non-vegans ! - Edit
While being in the center of Barcelona with my family, I thought I'd have to eat a plain salad or stick with the sides of the menu to be able to enjoy a meal with non-vegans. Everyone wanted to eat burgers and they stopped by this burger bar : going in I had no idea I would find three vegan burgers indicated on the menu !

Pros: Good burgers, Good fries, Recyclable packaging !!
Cons: The menu isn't entirely vegan of course :), This location is quite small

Good vegan aioli, oily burgers - Edit
I was pleasantly surprised to find that the aioli at Bacoa is vegan, paired with the bravas it's a nice treat when you're in the mood for some crispy potato snacks. The tomato sauce is however not very tasty.
Read moreThe burgers (either the chickpea burger or the beetroot burger) are quite oily, and the chickpea burger leaves an unpleasant aftertaste. The bread is nice and soft, but the seed topping literally rains down on your lap.
The waiting time can be quite long, I once had to wait close to 45 minutes for a serving of takeaway bravas.
Overall, I would say that you are better served spending your money at a dedicated vegan place, but Bacoa is a nice reserve option for when you can't find anything else, or when you're in the mood for some very crispy and fluffy bravas with vegan aioli.

not the best vegan burger i've had, but will definitely do if you're in this area and need something to eat. i feel like it lacked freshness and could have used a different sauce, but both the patty and the bun are tasty.

Good Vegan Burger - Edit
As a place that is very heavy on meat content, it was a very good surprise that their vegan burger was in fact very good. It's a crispy chickpea and spinach patty that does the job right.
Read moreI asked for it on the salad bowl with extra avocado and felt that it was not filling enough, but it was certainly tasty.
Fries are also home made and very crispy and good.
