Good option in limited area - Edit
There is generally not much option out here in the western suburbs, so for us that live close to Spånga its one of the better options we have.
Read moreThis restaurant is located in the foyer area of a grocery store, and its very much a fast food thai place so the ambiance is not good and it can on occasion be a bit loud (but mostly is not). But its not really a resturant that you go to for the atmosphere (and for sure not a date restaurant), in the summer there is tables outside which is more enjoyable then eating in the restaurant.
The vegan menu is extensive for the thai food (I would not go there for Sushi as you can get better vegan sushi at Sushi Spot which is not listed here as the vegan sushi is not on the menu) . It is classical choice your protein list, or rather select nothing, tofu or some fake meat (I only go for tofu or nothing so have no opinion on the fake meat)
I once a few year ago made the mistake of ordering the spring-roll starter and a main dish and the spring-rolls where enough to be a full dish (and I am big and eat a lot so that is saying something)
Prices are currently high, but have more moved in line with inflation I am afraid
Pros: Full stand alone vegan menu, Friendly personel, Easy to get too
Cons: Not cozy, Can be loud, Irritating light

Best vegan restaurant in spånga! - Edit
Delicious and well made vegan food in the centre of spånga! They have so many different dishes to choose from (they have a separate vegan menu), everything between red curry to sush! The red curry is amazing!

Putting Spanga on the map! - Edit
As far as I know, Spanga is not exactly a favourite suburb for vegans. Due to that, it's extra appreciated that Baan Thai offers such a variety of dishes: 3 starters, 2 curries, 9 woks and an additional 11 dishes! On top of that, they do sushi as well, but not sure about desserts. I had the red curry dish and I quite liked it.
Read moreI'm glad they offer many of the dishes in 3 different versions: with soya protein (the most expensive one), just vegetables (cheapest) or with tofu (in between). You can also adjust the level of hotness to your taste.
Other aspects: on the plus side, they have a collective bargaining agreement in place and accept cash. On the minus side, the only entrance is through the supermarket ICA, the decor is not particularly cosy and staff can be loud when talking to each other (especially having no music in the background). Oh, and the throwaway chopsticks, but you can always choose cutlery.
