Nice food but long wait - Edit
The menu has changed sinced the last review. Nothing is labled vegan anymore, but they offer oat and coconut milk. It also serves shrimps, so not really a vegetarian restaurant either.
Read moreWe waited over an hour for our food and almost 1,5 for coffee. The food was really good, especially the banana porridge. The portions were only ok. We didn’t like the coffee that much.

Ayurveda Cafe with Pancakes, Porridge, Toasts, and Smoothies - Edit
Cute little Ayurveda Cafe down a quiet side road in Nuwara Eliya. It is run by a lovely family and the owners are knowledgeable about Ayurveda (one studied it while the other learned from his grandparents and mother). Outdoor shaded seating on the front patio provides an excellent respite from the sun and a great place to spend an afternoon. It is connected to Suriya Guest House, which is operated by the same owners (the guesthouse can accommodate vegan). We had the banana pancakes and the banana-oat porridge, both of which were very tasty and filling. We also tried the cappuccinos (not great) and the Ayurveda tea (good, but pricey). Overall, prices are a bit on the higher end, especially compared to other local options, but this was the only place we found with this type of cuisine in Nuwara Eliya. Definitely recommend to spend an afternoon and enjoy some tasty vegan meals!
