Five star vegan options!

AYA might not be fully veggie/vegan, it's still really worth a visit. They really make an effort to offer amazing vegan options. I go here for lunch and dinner and just love every single dish they make.

Recommendations:
- the crispy gyoza's: tasty, not too spicy
- bao fried tofu: a real comfort treat with nice toppings
- dan dan noodles: a great option for people who like spicy food
- tantanmen ramen: a bit spicy and so full of flavour

The noodles they use are amazing! Also: the staff is so kind. Since we're regular guests and tend to come in early, he sometimes offers to make a non-vegan dish vegan for us whenever he has time to do so. It shows they pay attention and know how to cook vegan food.

I would give them five stars for their vegan food, but I understand Happy Cow doesn't allow five stars for places that serve meat.

Pros: Amazing vegan options, Friendliest staff ever

My favorite place in Nijmegen

Been here three times since they opened. The food is so delicious. I love the Bao bun and the gyoza. The noodles are very spicy. In my opinion it is the best restaurant in Nijmegen.

Opvallende smaak

Gezellig druk cafestijl restaurant. Diverse Vega en veganistische gezonde, zeer pittige gerechten met Japanse en Thais bier

Excellent asian fusion

Relatively new addition to the Nijmegen restaurant scene, kind of indonesian fusion, several veggie/vegan options. Friendly, affordable and wonderful food.

Unique food and nice place in Nijmegen-Oost

24 aug 2023
I had the vegan Kimchi jjigae as a starter and the vegan Katsu Curry as the main. Unique taste made with care and the portions were good. As dessert I had the apple gyoza which was from the daily or weekly changing chalk board because none of the desserts on the menucard were vegan.
With two beers the bill was about 45 euros which is a bit on the pricey side for a 3 course meal I normally eat but the quality was good.

In the period for the listing to be published (2 months) I went another time. This time I had Bao fried tofu as a starter which was nice and crispy. For the main I had Mapo tofu which was hot but still edible hot and as dessert the apple gyoza. Added new pictures.
