Buchen konnten wir trotz Samstag Abend einfach und spontan. Trotzdem war es nicht leer. Veganes Schnitzel und Kartoffelsalat waren echt lecker genau wie die Erdbeer-Rhabarber-Tarte😄und die haben ne Katze ^.^

There were so many vegan dishes, including special seasonal soups, several salads and the main dishes could almost always be served vegan. And the menu is very well labeled!

needed to try an austrian restaurant before heading home! i found Das Augustin suggested on a website rating the best vegan schnitzel options found in vienna. Das Augustin is an adorable restaurant outside of the inner city. the interior is lovely, reminds me of an english pub and there are 2 cats that live in the restaurant, who roam around while guests dine - i thought this was very cute. the waitresses were very kind and attentive. i ordered their vegan schnitzel and replaced the potato salad with fries. the dish came with a cranberry jam and a lemon to squeeze over the schnitzel. i genuinely found this meal very delicious and filling. it was quite simple, tasted a little similar to vegan chicken nuggets and chips but there was definitely a distinctive taste to the schnitzel that made it different from your standard battered vegan meat and fries. i really enjoyed this and was happy to find a tasty vegan option for a traditional austrian dish. i ordered a vegan brownie for desert, which was OK - a bit dry, nothing to shout about but was a nice sweet treat to end the night. the ambience of this restaurant was what made it i think! i would definitely come back.

das lokal sieht sehr urig-gemütlich aus, ist aber ziemlivh dunkel und die akkustik ist sehr schlecht, wenn es voll ist sind fast nur mehr 1:1 gespräche möglich. (wir saßen drinnen).

Personal war freundlich und angenehm.
fazit: ich würd nochmal hingehen wenn es jemand als treffpunkt vorschlägt, selber aussuchen würd ichs mir aber nicht mehr aussuchen.

The atmosphere is great - it's an older Viennese style restaurant, dark wood, comfy seating. Nice staff. Plus: They have a super cute "house" cat! They have an okay selection of vegan dishes, which are good (at least the ones I've tried), but nothing to rave about. I love to come here for the overall coziness!

its really dark in there and ths interior is chaotic an worn off. there are a few vegan options - i went for the dish "go vegan". the wrap was really delicious, the porridge was nothing special and not that great. staff was amazing!

The vegan wiener schnitzel was so good! And it was really authentic with the potato salad and cranberry sauce. The place is really friendly, we sat in the garden. They have many other vegan dishes, too, and everything is marked clearly on the menu, they are very confident in knowing what is vegan or not. Definitely going back again.

There are quite a few vegan dishes, which are clearly labeled on the menu, including a vegan Wiener Schnitzel with great breading! Because the place isn't very bright (at least where we were seated) it has a kind of mysterious but comfortable atmosphere. Very nice restaurant!

Augustin is a nice restaurant with very friendly staff. You have the option to sit inside or outside (in a quiet inner courtyard). We had the seitan schnitzel with potato salad and the caulfllower steak, which were both very tasty. They have some other vegan options on their menu (also cake!) We'll be back for more :)

We had the vegan Schnitzel with potato salad and the vegan meat dumplings with sauerkraut. Both dishes were absolutely delicious! I liked that there are both traditional austrian dishes and other options like burgers, wraps, curry. Loved the style of the restaurant too :)

Enjoyed a lovely breakfast here. They have 3 vegan options for breakfast all savoury but with corrige included. Friendly staff and the food was delicious. I can recommend the 'Go Vegan' breakfast.

Café Augustin is my favorite place for breakfast in Vienna. They have two vegan set breakfasts. You can also order single breakfast items from the menu and in the evening/ for lunch they have plenty of other vegan options.

The „Go Vegan“ menu consists of 2 wraps (grilled veggies,smokey tofu,salsa, avocado and comes with wasabi-mayo-dip) and porridge (banana, berries, maple sirup) and it‘s SO tasty! absolutely recommended!

had the GO VEGAN breakfast and it was amazing. it included two tofu/avocado wraps and an amazing porrige. i was there at 1pm and there was just breakfast available. other food starts from 4pm. thats a pitty. everything else was super!!!

The usual flaws of mixed restaurants... - Edit
The Augustin has a very cool atmosphere (there is a cat!) and they offer plenty vegan options, which are clearly labeled. Unfortunately the staff isn’t very attentive and they brought me a tempeh burger with cheese instead of the vegan version I ordered. Additionally, the burger wasn’t that good because the tempeh was way too salty. Considering that Vienna has many extraordinary entirely vegan restaurants I wouldn’t recommend this place for vegans.

The vegan snitzel was to die for! They had a couple of other options for main plus vegan deserts (the brownie was delicious). Really good, friendly waiter service & they have restaurant cats so win, win! 😊
