Authentic Albanian with vegan options

We had stuffed aubergine, stuffed peppers, grilled vegetables, oven potatoes, and a mixed salad. The salad came with cheese on it - our mistake for not asking - which we picked off without difficulty. This restaurant is raising money for victims of domestic violence and uses volunteer staff, so eat well and tip well and be kind.

Tasty traditional food!

Great vegan food and amazing service! We loved this spot during our Albania trip. Highly recommend the stuffed peppers and stuffed eggplant. They're both so flavourful! We did double check that the vegetarian dishes could be made vegan. The prices are good here

Pros: Amazing service

Leckeres Essen, für einen guten Zweck

Mehrere vegane und vegetarische Gerichte, es hat richtig gut geschmeckt, ist von einer gemeinnützliche Organization die Frauen hilft.

Best food in Shkoder

Lovely lady running the place showed us the menu with 90% vegetarian options, few of them were vegan. We took stuffed eggplants and peppers (delicious!), portions were quite small but you get basket of bread and it’s quite cheap. Generally place worth visiting.

Traditional albanian food

They have a small menu with traditional food. 4 dishes are vegan, two are vegetarian and one has meat. We had the 4 vegan dishes: patatoes, grilled veggies filled eggplant and paprika. The portion sizes are very big for a very small price. Also it’s a lovely place to sit with friendly staff. Recommended!

Not what I ordered but tasty

The place was in a nice location, friendly staff that knew some English, nicely decorated (with lots of local things to buy). Everything on the menu except meatballs seemed to be vegan. I didn't get what I ordered but it was tasty anyway 🙃

Was given food containing animal products

Staff was friendly and spoke some English.
The place is really cosy and has rich decoration.
I was offered the daily menu and when asked if it can be made vegan, they told me so.
I was given a plate with food containing products of animal exploitation.
When asked about it they apologised and offered to make stuffed eggplant and stuffed peppers. After a while they arrived, partially cold, and this time it appeared to be vegan. It tasted alright.
When I paid I was only charged for the vegan items. The other plate I hadn't touched.

Traditional, lots, great price and for a good cause

They have an option for a tasting platter with around 8-10 things for 1200 lek they offered to do vegan but we had the stuff aubergine, mixed veg and potatoes, with bread. It cost 1100 lek. Filled two of us from lunch for the rest of the day and was so yummy.

The great thing here is it is part of an organisation that supports woman trying to leave dangerous or bad relationships. The produce is all local - money well spent

Pros: Lots of vegan choices , Lovely staff and traditional atmosphere , Great price
