A Delightful find. - Edit
It was a real joy to find the Art Cafe. It is tucked away in a small group of barn buildings. On the weekday we visited it was busy, but the staff still made time for us. The food and service were excellent and the staff very friendly. Having spent the week in Norfolk slightly struggling to find good vegan options this is a real oasis.

Great location - Edit
Predominantly veggie food and quite expensive but food always nice. Could offer more in the way of vegan options but often seems to have a vegan cake choice and a variety of none diary milks.

Great coffee - Edit
Nice atmosphere to the place and a great bird-themed gallery next door. There wasn't much choice for vegans, despite this being a veggie café. I had a spicy tomato and aubergine soup, which was ok. A lemon drizzle cake afterwards was also ok, if a bit dry and stodgy. The coffee was great though.

V. limited vegan menu & expensive. No salads available other than bit with main - Edit
Disappointed with vegan option.... basically one. In past they made a lovely range of salads as sides & main course. £10 for hummus with 2 small pita & side salad with a scattering of capers, olives & sun dried tomatoes.

Quirky and yummy - Edit
My boyfriend and I have been here twice now to have the curry (it changes all the time on the blackboard) and a vegan cake. We love it! In a cool barn building with a little craft shop at the front.

Good find - Edit
It was so good to find vegan options in the area. There were three types of cake that were vegan and a couple of mains on the menu. We had an aubergine/courgette curry which was spicy and tasty. The atmosphere was relaxed.

Cons: Bit on the pricy side for what it is.

Fabulous - Edit
We were searching for vegan food in the wilds of Norfolk, visited this cafe to a splendid surprise! Vegan soup of the day - delicious; great selection of vegan gluten-free cakes; and some decent main meal options. Add in a chilled atmosphere & friendly staff - don't miss it if you're in the area!

A Birthday Treat - Edit
Wow, this cafe is amazing. We love it so much and always visit when we're in Norfolk. We had a salad platter which was delicious and a coconut curry which was equally yummy. When it came to cakes there are so many to behold. I went for the millionaires shortcake with gold sparkly sprinkles on top and my beloved man had the blackberry vegan cake. Lovely staff, calm vibe, lots of rustic wood around, lovely little shop on the way in with shiny things to buy. Colourful art on the walls adds to the experience. Recommend wholeheartedly.

Great Vegan and Vegetarian Food! - Edit
Stopped here for lunch with my mum today as we were near Holt. Lovely little cafe with a shop selling the coffee and local artists work. Nice atmosphere and cool interior. It had amazing vegan options for me, all clearly labelled with a V. They even had some fresh vegan brownies! Also very nice to see lots of GF options and cakes, since my boyfriend is coeliac. I'll definitely be taking him here. My non-veg mum very much enjoyed her food too. Menu changes daily. I had the soup of the day, which was sweet potato and coconut, with fresh bread. My mum had the slow roasted onion salad. Lovely selection of salads, tarts, curries, and sweets. Friendly staff. Competitive prices, especially for the area. Would definitely recommend.

breakfast not full English vegan was a only half! - Edit
Interesting little cafe. All home made food. Great capoccino coffee with soya. I was very excited about a vegan full English bfast but vegan option was removing the veggie sausage and eggs and adding half a slice of bread. Disappointing to advertise vegan when there was no offer of any substitute so it was only beans, a grilled half tom, mushrooms and toast. Food nicely cooked but expensive. Also ate lunch there as only local cafe. Lunch expensive and some vegan options were the meal with items removed, no alternatives.

Great vegggie cafe with good vegan main courses. - Edit
Lovely little cafe within a delightful, arty, gift shop. A daily menu of light snacks and full lunches with lots of choice for vegans in the main course (all labelled). I had a really tasty courgette curry which came with a gorgeous, spicy, homemade, carrot chutney, it was a good size portion too and a reasonable price. Dessert choice was limited to one, a coffee and walnut cake, but it was one of the nicest cakes I have eaten in a long time. I think they do need widen their vegan friendly cake range though.
Read moreThe cafe has a good choice of drinks, both soft and alcoholic, including some lovely local pressed juices and a great choice of coffee also locally roasted.
Service is friendly but was a little slow, maybe it was the Saturday staff working on the day we went?
Toilets are a few doors up in another building, which might be a pain in poor weather.
Pros: Great vegan mains, Local produce, Friendly
Cons: One one vegan cake, Service can be slow

nice to find veggie place in north norfolk! - Edit
I'm vegan and live in Nottingham, where there are lots of veggie options - but I sometimes struggle a bit when coming to visit my Mum (who lives in Holt). She suggested coming here, and we didn't even realise it was veggie, so it was a really nice surprise to go somewhere where people didn't bat an eyelid when I asked if the food was vegan! The food was really nice and fresh, with some good salads.

Pros: fresh food, friendly staff, nice atmosphere
