ARP - 아르프 - Edit
Venue
Read moreA mix of neutral tones, black wood and the odd bit of stainless steel. It definitely captures the feel it’s going for. Make sure you make a reservation via catchtable before you arrive!
Service
I was welcomed warmly and quickly shown to my table. Water and a menu QR code was provided with the instruction to call over the waiter when I was ready to order.
Food
Appetiser, main, dessert, drink = A+
A fine dining experience without the tiny portions. Probably overdid it a bit with the appetiser, main and dessert to myself but oh well.
Price
Not a fine dining price tag! Prices are listed on the online menu so I won’t go into it here but I’m more than happy.

Great food 8/10 - Edit
They really know how to make tasty food here and have a decent amount of options, fufils that sort of western food that's vegan which you might miss when in Korea.

Not suitable for vegetarian that don't take 5 alliums - Edit
Came all the way but was informed they are unable to provide any dishes that's without 5 allium. The chef not interested to entertain any requests for customisation though the waitress tried asking. Disappointed! 😞

Worth it - Edit
I don't go to Yeongdo much often but having lunch there before heading towards 태종대 is a good idea. We had a burger each and shared the 참나물 pasta. We were full with good food, well it's worth it!

Delightful fine dining! - Edit
From the ultra chic decor and classy tunes playing, you feel like a million bucks when you walk in the door but at the same time, arp is not pretentious. It’s quite friendly and welcoming. I had the Napa cabbage, burger and a glass of rice wine.
Read moreThe napa cabbage was phenomenal and probably my favorite! The vegetable is succulent and cooked with some crunchy nuts and topped with delicate vegan cheese that melts in your mouth.
The dookin burger had a juicy, satisfyingly hearty tofu patty with an appealing crust which paired swimmingly with the tartar sauce and veggies. You get some tasty sticks of fried asparagus served with your burger!
The rice wine was a unique pairing that was served in modern glass that was pleasant and sweet.
The food was not just beautiful and instagrammable, but also delicious and prepared with passion and skill. My meal was like a work of art, Zi almost felt guilty eating it!
I would suggest offering a physical menu because the QR code phone menu was a little finicky.
arp is a unique and delectable classy gastro experience that shows even vegans can enjoy fine dining. You must check it out if you visit Busan!
Pros: Artistic, beautiful food and restaurant, Friendly owner, not pretentious , Delicious unique taste

Perfection! - Edit
Wow! Loved everything that we ordered. Based on the recommendations/reviews, we ordered one of each of the pastas, burgers, and dessert (charcoaled waffle with ice cream). Everything was perfect and flavorful. We enjoyed the tea that was served as a welcome. The staff was super friendly. Make sure to make a reservation! We weren’t able to it online as we didn’t have a local Korean number, so we called using the phone at our hotel.

Great burger, friendly staffs - Edit
I didn’t have high expectation for their burgers, but burgers were really good. I tried the vegan fish sandwich made with tofu, and it was spot on. Staffs were friendly, interior was aesthetically pleasing and the staffs were friendly.

The food was terrific, the staff was friendly and even the dinnerware was superbly eclectic. And the prices were great.

Agreed - best pasta we've had in Korea - Edit
We read the other reviews - and promptly made a reservation through the "Find a table" link on Google Maps, which takes you to a site called Catchtable.net, which was super easy. I can see why they might be strict on taking reservations, as there is only one chef and the place is very small. We agree that the pasta is definitely the best we've had in Korea! Highly recommend, we also really enjoyed the aesthetic of the restaurant.

Great experience! - Edit
We enjoyed eating at ARP. The food was great and the staff was friendly. Generally we would recommend checking this place out when in Korea.
Read moreHowever, the biggest struggle we experienced was the reservation process. Maybe we didn't find the English site but when wanting to confirm the reservation we always got sent back to the restaurant's general site. At some point we gave up and had someone help us. Although it's quite complicated you should come with a reservation only, since the restaurant is rather small.
Some people mentioned that the food wasn't served at the same time. We experienced the same, however we shared my partners meal first and then mine, which worked out well for us.
Pros: Delicious food, Small and quiet place
Cons: Difficult reservation process

@intcultcom: We reserved one day before going there. So time isn't the problem. The difficulty was the language barrier. This place should definitely be on your itinerary😊

Minimalistic space - Edit
We had the bracken pasta, chamnamul pasta and the burger. Our favourite was the bracken pasta, different textures, a little bit of spice, a lot of umami. Also the beetroot ketchup you get wirh the burger is delicious. Everything is prepared in an open tiny kitchen next to the tables. The restaurant is minimalistic and very fancy which I typically don't like, but the food was extra good.

5 for food, 1 for service - Edit
I was so excited to try this place based on reviews. Got there at 12:30 to an almost empty place, they said they were booked and to come back at 1:00. We did, and the place was still empty. At this point not a big deal, but the service went downhill fast. Got ignored for the first 15 mins and they didn’t take our order. They had no desserts and only one drink as everything was already sold out. My burger came out in 15 which was great, but then we proceeded to wait 30 more minutes just for our drinks. I was eating as slow as I can but my partners meal still hadn’t arrived. 45mins after we sat down, I had completely finished my meal, then his dish arrived. Don’t get me wrong food was excellent, just staff were slow and not attentive at all. Bit of a disappointment
