Went there with a new friend, before he realized I was vegan, and I forgot to mention it was a vegan place. What I did not know, was that he had been trying to go vegan for a while, and after eating his burger, he mentioned feeling guilty. When asking him why, and realizing it was because he had thought he was eating beef, I could inform him the truth about Arlo's. YES!

I’ve tried the burger about 4 times now and I’m not really impressed... to me it was mushy. Most people I know are 50/50 about it, some love it or they think it’s meh like me. The sweet potato fries though are so good!!

A healthier-tasting take on fast food. It's not my personal favorite style (especially the burgers being pretty mushy texture-wise), but all the flavors were on point and totally unique. Lovedd the sweet potato fries most of all.

I understand the food truck thing and its cool but when its 105 degrees, sitting outside - with or without a gazebo - completely shuts off my appetite. The food is so good and honestly not that expensive. The staff were a bit rude but honestly I dont blame them working in that sweltering hot little box. Wish the drinks were a bit cheaper too. The tots portions are massive!!!

If you want a burger and fries, then this is the place to go. The bacon cheeseburger is pretty darn tasty. My 2 year old devoured the Mac n cheese (yes it's greasy, but it tastes pretty good). Only complaint is we ate so much we're all sporting a food baby 😆.

Arlo's Saved my Life - Edit
I attended a conference at the Sheraton a few blocks away from Arlo's in May this year and the food choices for Vegans were awful (or zero). Arlo's saved my life. Tried everything on the menu in the week I was there - the BBQ burger was my favourite. Tater Tots amazing and you can get beer from Cheerup Charlie's!

The bac’n cheese burger is real good. The bun is nicely toasted and the “bac’n” is delicious. Good toppings (I asked for no onions). Also cool atmosphere with live music at the bar next door.

It is always my choice for dinner when going to Austin. It has the best burgers in town. These guys are creators. They make their own proteins. I like them a lot better than the new wave of frozen vegan burgers they would sell you everywhere else. If you go, I recommend you try the Bac’n Cheez Burger, the Chick’n Tacos and the Mac’n Cheez.

Found them in a food truck lot on a tip from the server in Bouldin Creek. Fresh burger, very burgery if you’re into that. Not your basic vegburg, well crafted. Highly recommend!

I got the bacon cheeseburger, fries and a side of Mac. The Mac had no flavor, very oily and just tasted charred. The burger was awesome and I’d definitely go there again!
