Nice for tapas - Edit
Delicious food in a fancy restaurant. I went here several times during my stay in Cappadocia in 2023 & 2024.

Tasty food but some confusion about what vegan means - Edit
We enjoyed the dishes ordered here which were different to the usual vegan options served in Turkish restaurants. We ate topik (an Armenian dish), oyster mushrooms, stuffed peppers and eggplant (translated to 'dried peppers'), a vegetable clay pot with bulgar, and fava dip.
Read moreHOWEVER, there seems to be some confusion about what vegan means. There are 'Vegan meatballs' listed on the menu and the waiter told us it wasn't vegan! We didn't order anything that he said was vegan that we knew could potentially contain animal products, like the arancini.
So if you go, ask questions. Note that as it is a fancier establishment, the food portions are quite small and pricey.

Amazing but… - Edit
Probably the best oyster mushrooms I have ever had. 3 Stars!

On our third visit, we were poorly received and the service was terrible. They refused to bring bread, saying they were out. We were the second customers of the evening and all tables were receiving bread after us. 2 Stars!
Fourth visit once again great food and everything went fine. The staff is very inexperienced but that’s OK. Back to 4 Stars!

They now offer delicious köfte (flat meatballs, a traditional Turkish dish). Comes with a veg rice, a veg meze and ekmek (bread). Reasonable price.

A mixed evening… - Edit
The restaurant itself is wonderfully located and beautiful inside. The menu has clearly marked vegetable-only options. We ordered the vegetable clay pot kebab. We clearly told the waiter that neither of us wanted meat. The food is well-presented: the waiter brings it over in a clay pot and smashes it in front of you! Mine was smashed and poured into my dish with no problems. Unfortunately, they gave a beef dish to my husband, despite being told twice that we only wanted vegetables. We quickly told the waiter who was very apologetic and they took it away to make him another one; unfortunately this meant that we ended up eating at different times. The food itself was really delicious, especially the rice. They bought my husband’s dish over after a while and smashed the clay pot as standard; unfortunately some of it fell into his food! They did their best to get it all out but some small bits remained! So all in all it was a very mixed evening. Food was delicious and the waiters were lovely but big mistakes were made along the way.
