Delicious Vegan Moussaka in Traditional Greek Restaurant - Edit
What a find! After a week in Volos, I really wished there was a traditional Greek Tavern with a vegan version of something. On our last day there, we went to a popular mountain village close to town and we stumbled across a popular traditional tavern that, much to our delight had vegan moussaka. It came in its own little cassoulet and it was absolutely delicious. The cooked vegetable platter was huge and the orange/pomegranate green salad was served family style. Many ways to mix and match. Lots of vegetarian options as well, including a delicious looking rolled eggplant cassoulet and a grilled feta appetizer. Service was delightful. If you end up in Portaria, this place is a must!
