Beautiful Seaside Eco Resort - Edit
There are vegan options, if you explain you're vegan, staff can accommodate. They can make a delicious vegan Asian Sharing Platter, just remember to tell them you're vegan. Crunchy chickpea & tempeh curry which is super yummy, comes with rice & tiny salad. I enjoy their spritzer too, packed with limes & lemon. There will be a 21% Govt tax & service fee added to your bill. Hard to beat the ambience & beauty of Aquaria. As for the staff, they are fabulous.

Vegan menu at seaside resort - Edit
Lovely resort. Would love to stay here. We went for, lunch and although I was happy to see the vegan menu, I wasn’t impressed. Staff told me the soyamilk wouldn’t foam much in a cappuccino, but when it arrived it had loads of foam....made me wonder if it wasn’t soymilk after all. Also the falafel came with a yoghurt sauce in a side bowl. I asked whether it was vegan....took some time to get the waiter to understand, but NO, it wasn’t. After eating half my falafel, I realized the same sauce was already put on the (vegan) falafel, I just ate. Grrrrr.

Tasty vegetarian and vegan food - Edit
This was definitely our preferred restaurant in Candidasa. It has a separate vegan menu and several vegetarian options - both Indonesian and Western options. Nice setting, clean and friendly staff. Recommend as one of the better vegetarian and vegan places to eat in town.

Quaint little Indo restaurant with decent options - Edit
It was very quiet on the night we arrived in early January for dinner, but the service was attentive and pleasant. There is a clearly marked Vegan/Vegetarian menu and there is a good selection to be had. We chose the Vegetable Rigatoni, which was surprisingly flavourful, and the good old vegan Nasi Goreng, which was decently spicy and interesting. Both dishes we finished without a trouble. Good prices too - about what you expect from a better run Candidasa eatery (which is still cheap). No complaints, and a romantic, upscale place for vegans in a sea of meat/fish only restaurants.
