Nice zero-waste soups. 🥣 - Edit
I had a great experience visiting Apothecary Kitchen at Hamilton Farmers’ Market today and was delighted to find their offerings are fully vegan. The staff were friendly and helpful, offering soup samples and water while we shopped, and even recommending other vegan vendors at the Market. There is a bulk discount deal for zero-waste meals and a $1 credit for clean returned jars. They also have a dine-in and take-out menu available.
Read moreUpdate [2025-09-19]: I really enjoyed the Miso Mushroom Soup and the French Onion Flax Crackers! Unfortunately, the Cruciferous Crunch Salad wasn’t anything special, especially for the price, so I’d probably pass on the salads next time. I’d definitely try some of their other soups, but they’re pretty expensive, so I wouldn’t likely become a regular customer.

The soups taste really great, and I’m a regular customer. I love knowing that there is so much nutrition in these soups, they’re perfect for stocking up on. Kristy and her team are passionate about plant based living, and are very kind.

Pleasant Surprise - Edit
We were looking for Nonno’s (which was closed for a break) when we found this place. My husband had a lentil quinoa baby spinach salad with a whole bunch of delicious items in it like snap peas, green beans, and pepitas. Delicious. And I had a lentil curry dish. Also delicious.

Lovely staff and many options offered here. - Edit
Stumbled here on my way to Nonno's Plant Based Butcher in the same Hamilton Farmer's Market but on the other side of the lower level. We were warmly greeted by the owner who shared much of her work. We tried the Carrot Ginger Soup and had the Macaroni and Cheeze with Corn Bread but also picked up the Cream of Mushroom Soup. Much was offered on the menu and more were refrigerated to be taken home.

The Most Amazing Soup I’ve Ever Had - Edit
If you love freshly-mad soups with rich, complex flavors and super-fresh, organic ingredients, then Apothecary Kitchen is the place for you! I stop there every time I pass through Hamilton on my way to Toronto to pick up several jars of soup to take home. The Carrot Orange Ginger Cardamom is, very simply, the best soup I have ever had, and the Mashed Potato Leek is pure comfort in a jar! Amazing!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
