Anker Brot - Edit
I tried their Apfelstrudel and Nussschnecke and both were very tasty and it's very convenient that this chain also has good vegan options :)

Conveniently located, excellent vegan apple strudel - Edit
In the absolute middle of town, downstairs in subway station. Quiet place, around 15 seats or so. Vegan items labeled & high quality. Often, quite empty & therefore, a nice place to recharge inner energy or for a quick meeting. Excellent vegan apple strudel.

Nice place for a quick bite - Edit
I had the vegan pretzel and cinnamon scroll which were both delicious. The only thing that was disappointing was that the hot chocolate isn’t vegan, but I had a soy coffee instead.

Good find when needing a snack - Edit
Several vegan options. We had the apple pastries to eat in and the tomato focaccia to take away. Both good. There were more vegan items on display but the server said these weren’t fresh, so not for purchasing.

Decent, not amazing - Edit
What's great about this place, and most places in Vienna, is that everything is clearly labelled vegan. They have apple struddles, croissants and bread. All good, not amazing though.

Thankful for vegan options - Edit
On the go can be difficult to find vegan bread and pastries, thanks to Anker I can enjoy delicious vegan bread. The nut and poppy seed Strudels are my favorite.

Decent quality and price - Edit
I tried a variety. Some things were ok and some things were better. Probably half the price of anywhere better though. Basically a really solid option when convenient. Not special to travel out of your way for.

No longer vegan - Edit
Unfortunately the bakery is no longer vegan. There are a few vegan sandwiches and about three vegan pastries, but the rest has dairy or meat now.

Fully vegan bakery, good for a quick bite - Edit
First things first: to find it, you have to go to the underground station. It is a fully vegan bakery so there are lot of options. The food is ok, good for a quick bite while visiting the city center.

Basic vegan bakery - tasty ! - Edit
I dropped by as I’d not had lunch and picked up a vegan cheese sandwich and apple pastry. Both were tasty. The shop is a little hidden in a corner of the U-Bahn station.

Having not been to Vienna before we weren't sure what to expect for vegan food but were very excited to find this fully vegan bakery! We got apple strudel and a pretzel, so happy to be able to try Austrian food!

Great Vegan Bakery - Edit
I really love this bakery, as a vegan I always worry that I’ll miss out on the local cuisine whilst travelling- however this bakery sells vegan versions of traditional Austrian pastries and bread. They were very cheap and delicious! They also serve vegan sandwiches which are great to take for packed lunches.

Go early in the day - Edit
Since I lived in Vienna (in 2008) the vegan options have increased exponentially! I'm so glad that a vegan bakery now exists in a central transport hub, where it will have lots of exposure. That said though, the products are not replenished during the day, so by late afternoon there is not a lot of choice - mostly breads and packaged sweet breads and sandwiches. I had a sandwich with salad and plant cheese, which was good, but I'm looking forward to going back in a morning to get the sweet treats I was hoping for.

Completely vegan bakery branch - Edit
Although many breads are vegan in bakeries, they are rarely labeled as such. Vegan pastries are hard to find in bakeries. It is therefore commendable that the bakery chain "Anker" operates this completely vegan branch in the metro station "Stephansplatz". The pastry is certainly not "healthy", but I am grateful that classic Austrian pastries such as Ribiseltascherl (with red current) or Marillenkrapfen (with apricot) are also available in vegan form. The selection of sandwiches could be larger, but the Hummus-Cashew Eck is highly recommended.

Non dog friendly but vegan?! - Edit
After sitting down and ordering I was told that my dog was not welcome and we had to leave. Aside from that the food is nothing exceptional. If you really want those pastry in vegan form, I guess that's the only place you can get them from around here.
