Little bit bored - Edit
Had lunch there few days ago, there wasn't any protein to choose (tofu,tempeh...)
Read moreJust few hot options : chickpeas Indian style, basmati rice, foccaicia style bread (very good one) & soup and some cold options (beetroot, artichokes, pasta salad...)
Don't worth it.
Pros: Healthy
Cons: Not much options

Best buffet in town - Edit
I could eat here every day for the rest of my life. I love their potatoes in particular. But usually just a great selection of hot and cold food, at least one soup and loads of salad. Strong recommend.
Read morePros: A lot of variety, Reasonably priced

Rich and tasty buffet - Edit
Even if one or both of the main dishes contains eggs and dairy, they always provide you a tasty vegan alternative. Much better now than for some years ago!

Okay buffé - Edit
I took the buffe and explained that I was vegan. I did not get any information that I would get any other food but while taking some of the buffe, they suddenly had two plates so communication could have been better.
Read moreI think the food was good but there is potential to be better as the different food on the buffe do not match each other, but was good as one by one. Unsure if I would go here again, but good price for a buffe and fun if you do not want to eat the normal fast food places around.

Lunch buffé is ok if you're hungry - Edit
Lots of seating (there is a second floor).
Read moreHummus was pretty bad (not smooth and kinda watery). There was koriander leaves in the Indian lentil soup thing so it tasted bad for me. Otherwise the food in the buffé was decent and filling. Good options and possible to get mains vegan.

What you say about Quorn was true in the past but the Quorn company has launched vegan versions - https://www.quorn.us/products/vegan-food in addition to the vegetarian products https://www.quorn.us/products/vegetarian-food
Read moreThis restaurant has been around for a long time as vegetarian with vegan options and I doubt that if they say it's vegan that they would lie or be unaware of what veganism is.

Always a good place to eat! - Edit
Andrum Cafe is always a good place to eat. The food is homemade. The staff is always helpful when it comes to allergies. The food is tagged vegetarian, but it is very easy to get a full meal for a vegan.
Read moreThe buffet looks always fresh.
I have never eaten dessert, for the reason that I always indulge on the hummus or salads before and end up too full for anythins else!

quite good - Edit
There was a vegan salladsbuffé and 1 vegan soup. The main dishes wasn't vegan but you could recieve a plate with vegan variations of the main dishes in the buffé. Don't understand why they don't put all the vegan food in the buffé.
Read moreThe food was quite good. not excellent. Lasagna, pasta, hummus, tzatziki, cucomber etc
I would definetely recommend this if you wanna eat good vegan food with many options and there is no full-vegan resturant nearby to visit.
Cosy place to sit .
Pros: the salladsbuffé, the delicious vegan bread, cosy
Cons: you have to order the vegan main dishes, the bathroom wasnt superfresh

Still going strong after many years - Edit
Andrum is one of my favourite restaurants in Gothenburg. The food is fresh and tasty and I’ve never been disappointed. The Daal soup is especially good and worth going for on its own. If the hot food options on display are not vegan, you can ask the staff to sort you out. They always make vegan versions of the main dishes, but they’re just not always out. The salad bar is now completely vegan.

Not as good as it used to be - Edit
I've been going to Andrum for a long time! (more than 10 years!) and it used to be really really good! The best vegetarian café in Gothenburg! And one of the few back then. The last year or so the dishes have been the same and not so innovative anymore. Tonight we ate here after the refurbishment and it was disappointing. It seems like they've changed ownership, the food was ok, but not great as it used to be. The decor is quite badly done also. Although there are not that many options around, this is not longer a place a would recommend.

I'm just really curious but how do you think the decor is badly done? Personally I think its Swedens nicest Art nouveau restaurant so im just genuinely curious

Little variety, uncomfortable atmosphere, but okay price - Edit
I ate here with my grandparents. The staff wasn't really helpful in explaining to us how it worked with the buffet. It wasn't very easy to find everything. The (all-vegan) salad bar was good and had a lot of variety. There were also two soups (one vegan, one vegetarian) and two main dishes (one vegan, one vegetarian). I didn't like that the choices for vegans were so limited other than with the salads, and nothing from the food was really good - okay at best.
Read moreThe place had a diner atmosphere with wobbly plastic chairs.
Overall it was okay - the central location and relatively low price offset some of the problems, but I will probably not come back again.
Pros: Okay price, Central location
Cons: Only one vegan maindish, Food quality below average, Uncomfortable atmosphere

Great food, grumpy staff - Edit
Food was so good, but had to ask for vegan hot dishes and the staff heated one portion of each my other plate so I had to throw away a lot of food. The two girls who worked there was felt very uninterested and like I was annoying asking about the food 👎🏼

A buffet with all vegan sides and salad, with an option of one/two mains (lasagne, or daal). Soup included too and the breads are very nice. A couple of vegan deserts available as well. Great location and is very cheap for this sort of food in the area

Better than you think. - Edit
Nice vegetarian and vegan restaurant. They have many tables inside (two floors) and outside. They don't have big menu, some warm and some cold options, but you can always choose something really delicious for you. 99SEK cost one plate (big) and you can put there whatever you want, and how much you want. Vegan food are noticed. For 2 plates good food and two big glasses of wine I paid 304 SEK (around 28,5€). Stuff speak English of course.

Always leave this place full and satisfied - Edit
The buffet includes both hot mains and cold side dishes. In my experience, the hot mains tend to be vegetarian only but I’ve usually been able to request vegan options. The cold sides are amazing too though. I could probably get full off the pea pesto alone... Sometimes a few dishes are a bit salty or otherwise not great, but in general quite consistent and tasty.

Great value buffet - Edit
I've been to Andrum several times over the last couple of years. Their buffet is of great value, especially if you're vegetarian, as the two entrees they serve always seem to contain either eggs or dairy. The vegan dal is lovely.
